Clearly these riders are rigged with wireless lapel mics. I know they're top athletes and all and they're used to the publicity but do they mind being documented and all that jazz of having to deal with lapels??? I mean I just walk around with a shotgun mic in one channel and either a ambient sound/on-camera mic or additional mic for the video host person and that's ok, but for you guys to take the extra step and even keep recording when they're far away around 3:30 on the 4x course discussing their line and just talking in general like around 4:00. It’s great quality, and at the same time you’re not in their face all the time due to the limitation of a shotgun mic.
Also with freecaster tv they have a run and gun strategy with just a regular vocal mic because they have to run from rider to rider and stuff. You do it documentary style.
You've got tons of videos and I will try and plow through them to understand your style of not just capturing riders on camera but with excellent audio as well. The video can be just as good as the audio if you get my drift.
Cheers, hopefully I could get a wee bit of insight on how you operate or what kind of wireless setups you use.
