BMC Switzerland is excited to announce the expansion of its Trailcrew enduro racing activities to North America with the introduction of the BMC US Trailcrew Team. The US-based Trailcrew is comprised of riders Derek Bissett, Adam Snyder, and Brice Shirbach and is focused on competing in key enduro races throughout the US and Canada.

The North American enduro scene is really thriving and we are excited to deliver a strong BMC presence for 2015.” said Devin Riley, Director of Marketing - BMC North America. “Adam, Derek, and Brice bring a lot to the table not only as racers, but also as ambassadors of the brand and the sport. We’re looking forward to supporting such a cohesive and adventurous team this year.

In addition to contesting a full racing calendar, the ‘Crew is dedicated to telling the stories of life on the trails on where they race and train. Directed, filmed, and produced by the Trailcrew’s own Brice Shirbach, these stories will be featured in BMC’s upcoming video series, #TrailLove.

I think that it's awesome to be able to represent BMC, a brand that not only sees the value in racing bikes but wants to share the stories behind the races and the greater mountain bike community,” said Shirbach. “You learn a lot about yourself when you race and it’s the ultimate place to prove products, but there's so much more to our community than a ticking clock. I'm stoked to be able to show both sides and push my limits in both capacities.

The newly announced BMC US Trailcrew will complement BMC’s existing BMC Factory Trailcrew Team. While the Swiss-based BMC Factory Trailcrew Team follows the international EWS circuit, the BMC US Trailcrew focuses on key enduro series across the US and Canada. The BMC US Trailcrew is riding the Trailfox TF02 29. Featuring BMC’s own APS suspension, BWC geometry, and 29” wheels, the TF02 is the ideal platform for the North American enduro season.

Additionally, BMC Switzerland has launched the Trailcrew Program to supplement its racing teams’ activities. The program is aimed at bringing core trail riders into the BMC family, to promote the brand, develop relationships with local retailers, and build community in key markets. Successful applicants will benefit from exclusive deals on BMC Trailfox mountain bikes and Trailcrew kits.

So they sponsor you but then make you BUY a bike? Shouldn't that be free? Or is this a grassroots sponsorship?

Ya I figured. Since I just bought a brand new SB66 a few weeks ago I think I'll pass. I have a few grassroots sponsors but I cant really afford another $3000 bike right now.
