Man, perspective is everything and occasionally mountain bikers can forget that. I know I certainly do. You're an inspiration, Paul. Thank you for sharing your story.

Pivot Trail429 (Carbon)

$4300 USD
The bike is in amazing condition as it was maintained rigorously throughout my time on it, and has a handful of brand new parts that were replaced after my last ride on it. Those parts will be noted below in the build description. Couple of notes: I built this with the 17mm offset headset and have the fork set to 140mm of travel instead of the 130mm standard, so the head angle is a little slacker than it would be otherwise. This is also a Di2 build, and while the frame wasn't built specifically to take Di2, we put together a really clean integration, with the battery below the headset and mostly internal routing of the wires. Charger will be included. This is built as a 29er, but is compatible with 27.5+ wheelsets. Rear hub spacing is "superboost" at 157. Price includes shipping. Pedals and mud guard not included. Local Pickup will shave a couple hundred $$$ off of price. Frame size: Large Fork: MRP Ribbon Coil, with BRAND NEW spring Shock: Fox Factory DPS EVOL at 120mm of travel Wheels: Stans Flow MK3 Bars: Deity Skyline 787 Grips: Deity Knuckleduster Stem: Deity Copperhead 35mm Saddle: Deity Mainline Dropper Post: 9point8 Fall Line 170 mm of travel with wear kit included Drivetrain: Shimano XT Di2 1X11 with a BRAND NEW rear derailleur Brakes: Shimano Zee Tires: Maxxis Shorty front/Maxxis DHF rear Chainguide: MRP SXg
