I've met Quentin while at Leogang for the world cup this year and I must say that he's such a nice guy! Hard working, motivated, passionate...like we see in this vid!

Seems like he's sponsored by commencal. That's a big sponsor ship if he sponsored by a bike company.

free bikes are great and obviously a huge help. But the cost of travelling, time off work, maintenance, all adds up. So you have to been extremely dedicated to make it work. Respect to all Privateers, riding for passion and nothing else!

I'm confused too...these are both sponsored privateers. Privateer is an absolute, just because you don't hAve full factory support doesn't mean you're a privateer, it just means you have a lower level of sponsorship. Leave that term to the true loners!

You're all wrong, A privateer (sometimes called corsair or buccaneer) was a private person or ship authorized by a government by letters of marque to attack foreign vessels during wartime. Privateering was a way of mobilizing armed ships and sailors without having vessels be commissioned into regular service as warships.
