Selected by Matt Wragg - It's all about the fingers. This is a shot we've seen variations of a number of times over the years, but what makes this one so special is that one small detail. Somehow those dead-straight fingers as the rider pushes out of the start gate make it all the more vivid a moment.

I like it, its that first pedal stroke out of the gate. When you go from calmly track standing to unleashing the Kraken in a few pedal strokes.

i don't know, but this one looks quite special to me. it's really atmospheric. extremely atmospheric i would say.

Black and white instantly adds that kind of atmosphere regardless of whether the photo actually has any though to be fair.

Much like in music , if an artist does an acoustic cover of a song all of a sudden it's so deep and emotional

I'm with Bigburd on this one. I'm not feeling it at all. It just doesn't capture the moment for me and I don't think being black and white enhances it in anyway. Just my personal opinion though so I'm sure a lot of you wont agree.
