wow thats an amzing shot. the way the fog is in the trees and how the trees dissapear into it. pretty sweet.mother nature is coooool!
well hobbnobs..its a great picture and totaly POD worthy! just cause the person/people arent doing taking some huge drop or jump or doing some sick trick doesnt mean its not POD worthy, its an amazing picture and worth POD
hobbnobs, photo of the day indicates for it to be a good a photo, as in good quality, which this one quite obviously is. it doesnt mean the person has to be doing something amazing
Whitetux I didn't say a POD had to be extreame or exciting I just said I wasn't expecting a picture such as today's POD to get POD for it's sheer planeness.

people on this site don't realize that a POD doesn't have to be an insane action shot. this shot is amazing. action? no. but there are many principles that make it perfect. it is far better than many riding shots. it tells more of a story. I think this is a great POD! definitly adding it to my favs
if people dont realize that then they shouldnt make pod's people dont like. no talent here period. its not an action shot if theres no action its way more skill when u have to capture something at the perfect time,theres too many shots that took way more skill then this that arent pod.i dont care if im one of those people that dont realize,i defanatly realize,im NOT impressed.
lots of people like POD's like this. it takes talent to set up your camera right to capture a shot like this correctly. life isn't point and shoot. so what theres no action, this tells much more of a story then a guy railing a berm or flying through the air upside down. i for one think this is one of the best POD's we've had lately.

Picturex like this one are really hard to do, there are soo many different things that have to be set up just right on the camera and you have to just have a trained eye on setting up such shots... there is as much skiil involved with taking a picture like this as there is with a guy on a bike.

this picture reminds me of the movie shrooms or mushrooms or whatever where they do mushrooms in the woods and trip out and the chick killes them all
Just too settle this if your right you get + probs if your wrong you get - probs take a look at your probs before you keep going on i settle at the fact that this is POD material just a beatiful picture at the end of the day no need to be a bunch of hartless arseholes that go on about how crap it is ..

Sure! You're right man. Maybe I was not humble enough to express my point of view. I'm sorry ok. Once our bodies are. One day maybe before God those conversations are going to be anything wrong. Because above the bike and all the people God has for me and not lose my time with silly passing.

Amazing capture. The calmness of the fog creates a frozen moment in time. There's usually something unique about each and every type of riding condition, and until you experience them - you just won't understand it nor fully appreciate.

I can see both sides of the story but I think that it didn't take that much skill to take that shot and it didn't take much skill to sit on the bike either.

definiton of POD: picture of the day!
not best trick of the day, not best trail of the day or anything like that. POD could be for the quality of the picture, the angle of the picure, the lighting of the picture, or the scenery like this one!

Absolutely amazing! Anyone who says otherwise must be high. Its funny to read the comment of people saying this is boring because they obviously have no grasp on photography or art in general. This is easily the best POD I've seen on here in a really long time. Huge props to the photographer.

Some guys are going mental about skills and equipment etc. Good things don't have to be complex, just look at the history. Besides this is a community of biking not of a photography equipment loving geeks. Magazines are obsessed and filled by this multi-flash, staged and all-perfect, all-action imagery. I think we can do more.
Anyway, I love woods, I love fog and I definitely love moments like this.
