and I told you how much they retail for in the real world. I have the price sheets in front of me. the point I was trying to make is that, contrary to what you were trying to impress upon others, I'm not trying to rip people off. 2300 is a steal of a deal for this bike. And none of your ranting and price-mis-quoting will change that.
it is the 24" version. And the build is worth a fair bit more than that. That fork would retail for about 1500 were you to build it up. the wheelset would be about $800. There's your 2300 right there.
www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=54578 1500 is a bit high for an argyle RCT. and 800 for the wheels no way dude. all im saying is realistically not many people are out to drop 2300 on a hardtail especially now days when bikes arnt selling to well because of recession. 1900 is pretty reasonable for that build in my opinion . hate all you want
dude, if you read the comments above you'd note that it's not an RCT. It may look like an RCT to the ordinary Layman, but it isn't. ProII trials, plus XT20mm front hub, plus revolution double butted spokes, plus alloy nipples plus 719's is 800 MSRP. Trust me dude, I work in a shop. And while I trust your opinion about sales of DJ bikes (since its what I do for a living), $2300 and up bikes sell just fine over here. (To people who have a clue and don't want cheap stuff.) And the recession has been over for 6 months, bro. Sorry.
Does that about cover everything? Yeah. I think it does. Have a nice day.
I could buy a reba for 300 $ and argyle lowers for like a hundred bucks and pay 400 and have two sets of lowers js. If you're going by retail value, well who pays retail value on pinkbike? Thats like paying retail value on ebay, just pointless. Nice bike tho if you still have it
ya looks amazing is that a 22.5? how far in is the axle in the dropouts? and what tire size and how much clearance? It doesn't look like a safe amount, but I can't really tell. also how much does that fork weigh?
It is a 22.5" the axle is fully in the dropouts... just. Its safe though, I've tried it many times and spun it hard. The tire is a Mac 2, 2.2" wide, with plenty of clearance on the sides and top. the fork weighs 3.6 pounds with Argyle lowers
dang 3.6 pounds? thats lighter than a 32 is that a plain rct or are the uppers from a reba or pike or something? how much clearance on a mac2 compared to a krad 1.95? do you think you can get a approximate measurement of the chainstays?
its lighter than an rct though right? i might have to go mac2 as my next tire, i have a krad 1.95 with really little vertical clearance i was just curious about the chainstay length is the clearance in the 2010 frames better than the 09 frame? is the little piece in front of the bb connected to the stays smaller?
