Don't take credit for things you didn't start. Even if you were the first to say it, stop being butthurt, it's the internet.

is that a reba with rct lowers? looks like a solid bike
  • 3 0
cheers bro! And you are correct!
  • 1 0
How much would a set of those forks cost to be built?
  • 2 0
 about $800
  • 1 0
Okay thanks. When I get the money I'll probably get down to Vic and get all the parts ordered
  • 1 0
yo can you take a picture the of the tire clearance you ahve im thinking of making my 24 with 26 wheels to but dont know if its worth it
:/
  • 1 0
eventually I will... for now, its about 6mm on each side
  • 1 0
I just prooved to you how much you can get the wheels for and you deleted my comment lol
  • 1 1
and I told you how much they retail for in the real world. I have the price sheets in front of me. the point I was trying to make is that, contrary to what you were trying to impress upon others, I'm not trying to rip people off. 2300 is a steal of a deal for this bike. And none of your ranting and price-mis-quoting will change that.

  • 1 0
no hes not wtf are you talking about
  • 1 3
dobermannbikes.blogspot.com/2010/01/introducing-2010-pinscher-evolutions.html chainstay is not 14.2" lol unless you have the 24" version. sick bike everythings is dialed but 2300 for a hardtail thats outrageous.
  • 3 1
Hey f*ck nugget, I'd think twice about telling people who WORK for Dobermann about their bikes.
How 'bout you get your head out of your ass?
  • 3 1
it is the 24" version. And the build is worth a fair bit more than that. That fork would retail for about 1500 were you to build it up. the wheelset would be about $800. There's your 2300 right there.
  • 4 7
www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=54578 1500 is a bit high for an argyle RCT. and 800 for the wheels no way dude. all im saying is realistically not many people are out to drop 2300 on a hardtail especially now days when bikes arnt selling to well because of recession. 1900 is pretty reasonable for that build in my opinion . hate all you want
  • 4 2
dude, if you read the comments above you'd note that it's not an RCT. It may look like an RCT to the ordinary Layman, but it isn't. ProII trials, plus XT20mm front hub, plus revolution double butted spokes, plus alloy nipples plus 719's is 800 MSRP.
Trust me dude, I work in a shop.
And while I trust your opinion about sales of DJ bikes (since its what I do for a living), $2300 and up bikes sell just fine over here. (To people who have a clue and don't want cheap stuff.)
And the recession has been over for 6 months, bro. Sorry.

Does that about cover everything? Yeah. I think it does. Have a nice day.
  • 3 1
 dsheffer, your an idiot.
  • 2 2
deleted your comment. And you're still wrong.
  • 2 1
I could buy a reba for 300 $ and argyle lowers for like a hundred bucks and pay 400 and have two sets of lowers js.
If you're going by retail value, well who pays retail value on pinkbike? Thats like paying retail value on ebay, just pointless.
Nice bike tho if you still have it
  • 2 2
 g-g-g-g-gravedig!
  • 1 0
I was actually looking at your profile and this was third from the top in buy/sell.
  • 1 0
 lol.
  • 1 0
how much would this build cost?
  • 1 0
to build new would cost just shy of 3k
  • 2 0
what could i get for like $1400
  • 1 0
NS!!! check the albums into the new year... you will be blown away!
  • 1 0
do you have any pics right now from old builds, just so i can see what to be looking at
  • 1 0
not right now... all my photos are up in my albums.
  • 1 0
 they pargyles? or new argyles?
  • 1 0
 Rargyles.
  • 1 0
 reba with argyle lowers?
  • 1 0
 basically yes.
  • 1 0
still got this? and is it for 1100?
  • 1 0
 sorry man, its sold.
  • 1 0
dam what do you still have?
  • 2 0
 pics up in 30 seconds.
  • 1 0
 sick!
  • 1 0
 ya looks amazing
is that a 22.5?
how far in is the axle in the dropouts? and what tire size and how much clearance? It doesn't look like a safe amount, but I can't really tell.
also how much does that fork weigh?
  • 1 0
 It is a 22.5"
the axle is fully in the dropouts... just. Its safe though, I've tried it many times and spun it hard.
The tire is a Mac 2, 2.2" wide, with plenty of clearance on the sides and top.
the fork weighs 3.6 pounds with Argyle lowers
  • 1 0
dang 3.6 pounds? thats lighter than a 32
is that a plain rct or are the uppers from a reba or pike or something?
how much clearance on a mac2 compared to a krad 1.95?
do you think you can get a approximate measurement of the chainstays?
  • 1 0
reba uppers. Its a cheater fork. Looks like an RCT but isnt.
Same tire clearance. approx measurement? What are you looking for?
  • 1 0
its lighter than an rct though right?
i might have to go mac2 as my next tire, i have a krad 1.95 with really little vertical clearance
i was just curious about the chainstay length
is the clearance in the 2010 frames better than the 09 frame? is the little piece in front of the bb connected to the stays smaller?
  • 1 0
 rct is 4.38lbs uncut.
stay length is 14.2" slammed.
the clearance is a little better, but not significantly more. the bridge is a little smaller.
  • 1 0
 alright thanks
  • 1 0
Can you just buy argyle lowers?
If so how much?
  • 1 0
yeah man, they're $300 from Norco or Lambert distribution, and available at your LBS. (or Oak Bay Bikes if you wanna be extra steezy)
  • 1 0
It's 300 for just the lowers no internal or anything?
  • 1 0
yeah. Pricey I know, but that's what they sell for.
  • 1 0
can you get the 302 in red?
  • 1 0
nope, only the RCT. (though the lowers are compatible, so you can pop them on any argyle model.)
  • 1 0
 sick bike
  • 2 1
 i like those argyles
  • 1 0
 How much is it?
  • 1 0
 $2300
  • 1 0
 ok rant over
  • 1 0
 thats sick
  • 1 0
 Amazing.
  • 1 1
is that the flat raw, or clear gloss?
  • 1 0
 gloss clear.
  • 1 0
