2015 Lama Cycles Team Shoot

The snowy and ice-cold Quebec winter has finally subsided and now the Lamas are ready to jump back on the saddle. The team has been training hard over the cold season, keeping fit, and building on the positives from last year. You'll find a couple new faces on this year's roster, as well as an updated build sheet for our 'Lama Cycles Team Edition' bikes. We'll be kicking off the 2015 racing season this coming weekend during the first Canada Cup round held in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. See you on the trails!

2015 NS Fuzz

The Lama Cycles DH Team will be sporting the 27.5 version of the NS Fuzz with a stealth black colorway to top it off. Barring the RaceFace saddle and carbon I-Beam style post, the cockpit is full NS, complete with the Evidence Plus bar and direct mount stem. The build also features the sophisticated SRAM XO1 7speed DH gearing system chained to a RaceFace SixC carbon crankset and MRP's G3 guide. Up front, a Manitou Dorado Pro fork will handle the terrain while a Cane Creek Double Barrel helps cushion the rear. A set of Formula ROR brakes will be providing a hand full of stopping power and a pair of Industry Nine Gravity wheels wrapped in Maxxis Minion DHFs will be keeping the team rolling strong all season long.

2015 NS Snabb E1
New recruits means new disciplines this season for the Lama Cycles team. The machine of choice for the enduro racer of the family is the NS Snabb E1, a 160mm travel trail bike perfectly fit for the job. The Snabb also gets the Lama Cycles Team Edition treatment, beginning with NS's own Evidence Plus bar and Quantum stem. SRAM's X01 11speed system holds its own for drivetrain duties, while the RaceFace SixC crank being used all around on the Lama Cycles fleet appears bolted to the frame. The front suspension is provided by Manitou's Mattoc Pro fork and a Cane Creek DB Inline shock will work the rear swing arm. The Formula ROR brakes and Maxxis DHF tires (2.3) are also featured on this build, although they'll be stopping the lighter Industry Nine 27.5 Enduro wheels instead.

There's a lot of work that takes place behind the scenes during both the on and off seasons that allows the Lama Cycles team to look and feel professional. Dainese is the main provider for the team's shorts/pants, gloves, and protective gear. At either extremities, the team trusts Bell's Full 9 helmet to keep their heads in tact while a pair of 5.10 Impact xvi shoes can be found clipped into their bikes. Spy Optics equips the riders with excellent visual protection and eye wear, whether it be casual sunnies worn off the trails or proper MX goggles keeping their eyes clean from debris.
