This vid does the mtb area of Rostrever no justice, there is lots more to ride then this plus Northern Ireland is a wash with trails and forests, if you don't believe me www.trailbadger.com Ireland has the potential to be the MTB capital of Europe the government's just need to see it, Irelands a small country and that's what makes it great, lots of trails in a small area.
sleep eat ride repeat.

They also need to learn how to make a promo video. We have soo much to offer but government can see it.

Loads of us are booked for next year already, firgers crossed I don't do the big endo again like this year Wink
I've no plans to ride the above rostrevor trail and haven't in over a year. Really sad tbh.

To be fair Its better then no video at all lads. I thought it looked well.

If only the rest of it rode as good as the short sections on that video. There is a couple of nice tables the rest of them the roll ins are that tight you end up with a chestfull of handelbars. There is plans to fix but we are still waiting on a date.

You hit most of them and you don't know where you are going to end up! its ridiculous and dangerous

Tbh I done 24 runs down it one day with the uplift on my dirt jumper. I didn't get shot off because I could pump through the compression. If your on a long travel bike you bottom out at the base of jump then it bucks you off half way up takeoff into the trees. I wouldn't take my dh bike anywhere near it. Those that do have to lock out their suspension to ride it. I gave it a fair go one day and left me frustrated as couldn't hit them hard enough without my knees buckling and getting a mouthful of handlebar. Havent been back since, really sad as I love jump trails. I'll have to wait to morzine 2015 now for a week of grins..

Great to see all this exposure of Northern Ireland mountain biking! I cut my teeth riding in Donard/Tollymore, Cave Hill, Tardree, Glenarriff, Ballypatrick, Ballyboley, Sperrins, Barnetts/Lady Dixon, etc back in '92. Awesome to see the progress and so many kids in N.I. getting into riding. I'll be riding Kilbroney in December, stoked!

If your going to kilbroney get the local info on the unofficial trails, both the open mountain xc rides through the Mourne mountains and the natural downhill trails. Stay well away from the dull drab trail centre.

love love tollymore, bigwood was super sweet this year plenty of dry days

dirtmountainbike.com/videos/jacob-dickson-orange-322.html Much better idea of the off piste stuff in Rossi, the trail centre stuff has its place but you cant beat a natural rider built track!

The natural trails in kilbroney are super. The bin runs have to be the best about. Its just a real pity about the trail center stuff. The potential was there, and still is, to be so good. Instead we have 2 basically un-used downhill tracks and a frustrating and speed killing trail loop. Fix these and unleash kilbroneys true potential.

I love Rostrevor and the rest of the trail centres we have now, we should be grateful. I wish I had them 20 years ago, doo much fun. Yes bigwood, and the other more natural dh tracks are brilliant too, I'm just glad we have such a choice now. This video shows more of what Rostrevor has to offer than the one above, even if it is So Enduro... Vitus Sommet 2015 - This is YOUR Enduro: youtu.be/QOFw2G4Kx3Y

That's a great video showing off the unofficial natural biker made trails that Rostrevor is full off. What it does show is how poor the trail centre bits are that only make up about a tenth of whats shown.

Even though this video was really not diverse and exciting, it was a good watch. The video is really flowy and smooth, making me grab my bike and explore. Its a break from all the sick bashing vids out there who are mostly the same.

^^^ This. Refreshingly simple, nice vid Smile

I was kind of expecting tight single track, lots of sheep, rosy cheeked well endowed woman serving Guinness. I like the old Ireland. Im old

I do like mega mission even though it tried to kill me once, busted collarbone and shredded face, just made me realise that you lose focus for even a second there and pain is gonna get you.
This is my favourite video of Mega, these guys are fast. DH1 Rostrevor (Mega Mission) with the Nelsons: youtu.be/8UA5teTOvTA

I appreciate the light of this video ; great warm colors in the wood and this chocolate ground calling long rides and long skids like on velvet strip !

Nice video but it needs to show the other trails in rostrevor too and another trick other than a whip; tabletop please
  • 2 0
EXACTLY!!! I thought it was video about some trails, not slowmo's of the same trick over and over and over and over...you get it

Rostrevor and northern Ireland have so much more to offer

Nice Vid... Good to see theres at least one rider that can ride that trail..... for me its just a death trap.

Ride it on a jump bike not a big full downhill bike, lets you pump through the bar-eating compressions at the base of the jumps, you can see how hes doing it in the vid on some of the long shots.. Me on transition double.. Its not fun as you just trying to get over them alive instead on going for airtime.
