Industry Digest: Schwalbe Consolidates Production in Vietnam, Scott Sports' $176 Million Loan & More
Yeeesh. This post paints a bit of a rough picture for the state of the industry at the moment, not to mention all the goings on with the DH teams for 2024 as well.

The Orange Switch 7 Has a Linkage - Sea Otter 2022
@DavidGuerra: I bloody loved my Prophet (still have it in the shed!). I used to ride with a guy with a Five at the time and got to try them both back to back plenty of times. Both were great fun and brilliant bikes but the Five had a slight edge for stability, straight line tracking and less pedal bob. The Prophet was probably slightly more fun though.

Downcountry Fork Review: Öhlins RXF34 m.2 vs Fox 34
@nickfranko: I disagree completely with this. I commented above about the customer tune options available from new from Öhlins when I bought my RXF EVO a while back. The fact that it gives me the useable range I need allows me to set it up however I want, where it be for a day of smashing through rock gardens or a more sedate single track ride along fairly easy going tracks. In both scenarios, I’m able to get it grippy and supple, supportive in the mid stroke, either linear or progressive; whatever I want.

Downcountry Fork Review: Öhlins RXF34 m.2 vs Fox 34
@thenotoriousmic: that’s true if you happen to be an average rider. I’m in the heavier side and Rockshox damping range in particular simply doesn’t work for me at the air pressures I need to run. Öhlins however offered custom tunes for different weight bands out of the box when I bought my now fairly older RXF 36 EVO (still running great btw). It makes an absolute world of difference to actually have usable ranges for both compression and rebound damping at a spring weight that allows the fork to do what it’s supposed to do (supple small bump sensitivity, adequate mid stroke).

Rose Bikes Announces 10% Price Increase
@landscapeben: it’s a shame really as I really wanted to like the company as well! They really stood out from the crowd at the time with the depth of customisation available on all of their models; a level that few manufacturers come close to these days.

Rose Bikes Announces 10% Price Increase
@landscapeben: I made the mistake of buying one a few years ago…regretted it right away when the bike turned up clearly damaged and their customer service tried to fob me off by saying it was part of the natural raw finish. I then found out that the rear triangle was badly misaligned from factory after it was prematurely eating bearings at a rapid pace. The rep in the U.K. at the time was great and helped where he could but the German customer service team were just outright rude, patronising and dismissive in every interaction with them.

Muc-Off Withdraws Commencal 21 Sponsorship & Insists Amaury Pierron Take Course After 'Racial Stereotyping'
@Mondbiker: that’s a nice sweeping generalisation about “black music”. It’s only one segment of music - that’s it. There are plenty of other types of music written or performed by black people that manage just fine without using the n word. It’s also not as if all black people are unanimously in support of the word being used in rap music, or common lexicon either. Do you actually know any black people personally, or does your entire sweeping generalisation of an entire race come from rap music?
