Are Semi-Solid-State Batteries the Future of E-Bikes?
Solid state is practically in production, I've had pouches / semi solid state in my stihl ap500s work batteries as 5 years or so which even now is well ahead of car batteries today never mind 5 years ago. Large scale production is the problem of solid state, semi soild is being skipped by most now as its not the answer.

The 27.5" Front Wheel Is Dead And I'm More OK With That Than I Ever Thought I Would Be
@ryanridessc: you just have to build it, zerode g3 small -10 headset 27.5/26 running 155 cranks at 345 bb hight. For bike park laps is just fun. Turns better, can 2 wheel drift and front wheel doesn't fold under you like 29er if don't set up corners properly.

Gates Patent Application Shows a CVT Gearbox For Non-Electric Bikes
I had the Hammerschmidt planetary chainring. The drag from it was more than my 6 speed pinion gearbox. Nevermind what that belt will do.

@alis66: not enough ground clearance, I can grind on motor mounts on stealth on slow rock drops. Just wait till their knees are fecked. 2 weeks lifts in morzine soon, just a different e motor doing the work..

I've 2500 wats on my cyc stealth kit as near 6 years. Yes its fun, will drain battery in minutes but do i use it? Rarely need more than 750w climbing up steepest trails at up to 10mph. What i do need is the percentage assist, avinox is 800% that's the real gamechanger for me with fecked knees.
