We’re back for the 3rd round of the Superenduro, Italian Enduro Series. This round we stop of at Canazei, which is located in the heart of the Dolomites. The mountain range is incredible, big mountains with big cliff faces. It's in the North of Italy, a popular skiing destination in the winter and by summer it's a Mountain bike resort that flies under the radar.

Normally at Superenduro races you must pedal to the top of the stages, but at this round 4 out of the 5 stages will use the chairlifts to get to the top. The stages hit some pretty high peaks and have pretty long tiresome stages. Today was a practice day.

Stage three starts off up high on the ski piste long fresh swooping corners all taped super wide.

The bottom of stage 4 is going to be tough just as you think you re close to the end and you re chucked into a downhill track big holes and big hits. This stage will be the test of endurance.

 Tracy Moseley is starting to be a bit of a legend. Puts A LOT back into the sport. Pretty cool!

 Why can't we get coverage like this for US events? China Peak is going on right now and actually has decent courses. Do the organizers just need to hire the photographers? Love the Saturday practice photo epics because they really give a good feel of the weekend.

 A lot of it has to do with organizers, photographers in certain areas. The Eastern States Cup does a great job of their coverage.

 They probably aren't allowed to run full downhill bikes....if they could, that person would have won. Ha lift-accessed "enduro" is just a few downhill runs in a row. Call it what it is.

 I would love to see a form of enduro racing where the event would be lift assisted. No uphill pedaling. The Stages would be different trails down the mountain. Transfer trails would also be downhill if a stage started halfway down the mountain. The riders would have all day to complete all of the stages. The order in which they complete the stages would be up to them

 Also in France, some organisers do it like that, for example the Val d'Isère France cup, which was an EWS in 2013. The Frenchies don't seem to care about format discussions. They simply offer them all, often within a series ;-). I love their willingness to try out stuff. The Enduro des Portes du Mercantour had a chainless run and on the second day a pursuit race based on the overall times in reversed order.

 There's something quite close to it. It's called downhill.

 That would be lame in my eyes...There's nothing like a good sufferfest to show case you're worthiness...Huge respect for strong fitness/climb capabilities!

 Snow Summit already does this. 90% of their courses are lift assisted. Last weekend was the first time they had a meaningful climb of about 500' on a liaison.

 But then the courses are also all over 8000' of elevation too

 @Raffe: dh has one track. The lift assist only enduro would have many tracks

 @abbfan2: True, my bad.
