The Idaho Enduro Series is excited to announce the release of our 2017 schedule. The series returns to three of the classic stops from previous seasons.

We are excited to be back at familiar venues for 2017, each provided a top notch course, awesome facilities, and most importantly, an efficient flow to cut down on wait times,” stated Blake Carley, course committee member. “We are highlighting some of the best single track and enduro style riding that Idaho has to offer, as we hope to draw more racers from both in and out of the state.

The series is also proud to announce an early registration discount for all riders. There will be a tiered discount ranging from 10% to 20% for those who register for the full series. This discount excludes the bonus race, held at Silver Mountain in Kellogg, Idaho.

We want to stress the importance of early registration as we are placing a racer field limit for each race. In the end, this only benefits riders as it allows us more time to plan the course, food and beverage, and other important logistics.”

The full series registration discount structure is as follows:

Idaho Enduro Series Discount - 2017 until 2/28 - 20.00 %
Idaho Enduro Series Discount - 2017 until 3/31 - 15.00 %
Idaho Enduro Series Discount - 2017 until 4/19 - 10.00 %

I love the idea of a state dedicated race series. Colorado is ripe for the picking.

Agreed, the BME has given up on CO with just two events here and one is an EWS event, zero chance of getting into that one.
  • 5 1
Yep! With BME essentially exiting Colorado and moving events to locales to far to travel for most of us its out. Relegated to single events for the most part, GJ Enduro, Steamboat EnduroX off the top of my head. I decided to do the Scott Enduro Cup instead of any BME events. None of which are in CO but living in Southwest CO the travel works out pretty easy. The events exist as single events, maybe something like the NAET or IMBA Enduro Tour model, where they link together single events for a series or tour. GJ, Steamboat, Vail Outlier, and 1 or 2 more and there is a series.

Agreed, an all the prices are under $100 an event. The $200 price tag for Steamboat is rough. Granby Ranch has some small enduro but they say accurate timing system is expensive. I will bug them this weekend at Meltdown.

For f#cking real.... as is Utah. Good job Idaho!

@Nizhoni: Thanks for the props to Enduro-X in Steamboat. Stay tuned for a few more events to pop up on the Colorado race schedule with the creation of Rocky Mountain Enduro Series: Powderhorn, Steamboat, Utah (tbd), and the Monarch Crest Enduro. Look for confirmed schedule dates and reg to open in early February.

@davidscully: Woot! Glad to see that happening!

@davidscully: Where will you be announcing the new series? Thanks for promoting the sport!

BME has zero bike park stages this year. Promoting All rugged fresh cut bermless garbage. If I wanted to ride fresh cut trails, Id build them. Its sketch- Lots of Dangers not mitigated and are ticking time bombs for wrecks. BME is expensive - They do run a good show- but traveling to Washington for a single race down a volcano sounds pretty miserable. IT will be epic. no doubt. but rough nasty riding isnt the only part of mountain bike riding. I like Enduros that cater to all skills so not one type of rider can win. Rough nasties are part of the game but so are bike parks/ built trails/ and fast flowy cardio stages. Seems like they are only advertising one of these and its going to be 100K of horribly rough trails this year. Also as mentioned in this thread - only a three events that mortals /ams can make it into. Mexico isn't part of the points. Sounds fun but a very large commitment after a season of racing. IDFK ill probably race it too. Ha- If there is a viable colorado SW alternative I will be considering instead.

If only Colorado could get on board with inexpensive racing... till then
  • 5 0
Colorado and inexpensive don't get put in the same sentence too often these days!

 No tamarack this year?!
  • 2 0
Tamarack was actually a really fun race! Too bad they are a pain in the ass to work with. You need to get out there big dawg!
  • 1 0
@reed1: seemed like resort people didn't care much for the race! Totally different than Jug or Bogus, where everybody was very welcoming!
  • 1 0
@mfa81: Bogus and Jug were both awesome to work with!
  • 1 0
@reed1: I don't think I could handle coming back as a mid-pack sport rider. Sticking with motors that hide my lack of fitness Smile
  • 1 0
@meathooker: Just enter the E-Bike class haha
  • 2 0
No tamarack???? oh well..looking forward to this year for sure
