A United State of Downhill
If the US wants to bring dominance back to the downhill wc scene, they need to START by putting Gwin back on a Trek.

2013 S-works Demo 8 for sale: WEIGHT: 37.1lbs Frame: Medium carbon frame w/ downtube guard Shock: 2014 Fox RC4 w/400lb RCS ti spring Fork: 2014 Fox 40 Float Wheels: Azonic Outlaw Tires: Specialized Butcher DH 2.3 (set up tubeless) Brakes: Saint Rotors: ICE tech Bars: Enve DH (740mm) Stem: Renthal direct mount Grips: Troy Lee lock-ons Shifter: SRAM XO 10sp Seat: SDG I-Fly Seatpost: SDG carbon Cranks: SRAM XO Chainguide: MRP G2 Chainring: Truvativ 36t Pedals: Atomlab PIMP Derailleur: SRAM XO 10sp (short cage) Frame has a clear bra. Carbon front triangle is almost immaculate. Seat/chain stays are scuffed up a little, but it is the clear bra that is scuffed, not the metal. Both brakes have a fresh bleed and fork was recently serviced by Fox. Selling because I am having shoulder surgery and will be off the bike for quite a while. As you can see, it is a VERY good build that comes in at 37.1lbs...even with the Outlaws. I will ship anywhere, but buyer pays for shipping. Message me for an estimate. I would LIKE to sell it but don't NEED to sell it so please don't hit me up with some ridiculous lowball offer. I am asking $3500USD but will entertain any reasonable offer. Thanks.

It's weird for me. I don't view Brian Lopes as a "legend". To me, a legend is someone who was once great and whose time has passed. It is obvious that his time has NOT passed. He still has it and will for the foreseeable future. He may not be competing on the WC circuit, but this man is still killin' it, and one day when he takes a step back from competition, and allows others to dominate, then I will view him as a "legend".
