Review: SRAM's New Maven Brakes - The Big Brake
For me, if I am choosing between two chemicals that have both been demonstrated to offer the same performance, one has been shown to be safe enough to rub on a babies skin, and the other will peel the paint off my bike, I am going with the baby oil

2023 Pinkbike Awards: eMTB of the Year Nominees
@PB4UGO: something like the high end surron storm Bees are admitedly closer to a moto (but still less power and weight than a real moto). But the light bee (which is what I always we around me) is only about 100lbs and its power output is way closer to an ebike than it is to a full moto. Anyone who would call a surron light bee a moto has clearly never ridden a real moto

2023 Pinkbike Awards: eMTB of the Year Nominees
@Dustfarter: I don’t get all the Surron hate, has anyone actually ever done any studies to show they are more damaging to trails than a conventional ebike? They may weigh about 50lbs more than a conventional ebike, but I see plenty of people on the trails riding e-bikes that are more than 50lbs heavier than me. More people on trails is more gooder right?

@mariomtblt: you’d think they would try to make climbing more exciting to watch if you are on a bike with a motor though. Why not put super steep slabs or gnarly rock gardens on the uphill that couldn’t be done without the motor. One of the selling points of e-bikes is they make climbing more fun, why not showcase that in a race? If it’s a normal climb and you are just testing which rider can put more power down and pedal to the top the fastest, get rid of the motor so it’s just athlete vs athlete

Why do ebike videos never show the person pedaling the bike? This is 99% him riding a bike downhill with the motor not doing anything

"For reference the complete Lumen eRIDE 900 SL comes in at around 155kg out of the box, excluding pedals." I always knew E-bikes were heavy, but damn!
