I beleive she caught another rider who wouldn't have qualified for the race under last years rules. Pretty lame, don't know why the UCI wouldn't have allowed her a re-run, of course who knows why UCI does half the stupid shit they do.

the top 10 females are protected but the world cups are using "world ranking" rather than "world cup ranking" to determine the # plates (and thus the top 10). Jacqueline Harmony is ranked top 10 in the "world ranking" and was thus protected despite not having a time good enough to qualify -- however she is ranked 21st in the "world cup ranking" so by the old rules she wouldn't have been a moving trail-block for pom-pom. I liked Myriam Nicole's honesty.
