On a cold February weekend, every year for past decade, the heart of Austria, Vienna, beats harder and faster due to the insane amount of action mixed with fire and light. This year the MOD family stepped their game up once again! Georg Fechter promised stunning shows and definitely kept his word! The shows were big, loud and extremely impressive to all freestyle fans. Check out what went down!

  It took four long days of hard work, almost around the clock, to prepare the venue for the shows. When they finished, it looked amazing.

  The doors of "Wiener Stadhalle" were opened to the public and they gathered in huge numbers. Every show was watched by 7000 pairs of eyes!

  Young talent, Adolf Silva is fearless. This kid was born to ride bikes. Double backflip, double backflip no hander, doublegrab with and without backflip to just name a few of his hefty tricks.

  Massive props to Patrick Guimez. He had a beautiful and very ambitious plan on joining an extremely elite club of triple backflip riders. Unfortunately, it was not given to him this time, but he was super close and fought really hard for it!

  Tandem FMX was well good fun to watch. Antonio Navas and Rocky Florensa showcased their unusual skill to entertain the people. An absolute climax to their segment was backflip and switching places in the air!

  Another great part of the show was seeing Marcus Christopher jumping high on his BMX. You haven't heard of him yet? Well, don't worry, soon enough he's going to get to the top. Markus is only 13-years-old, but he already shows incredible talent and a wide spectrum of big tricks.

bigquotesMixed emotions here in Vienna as it's the end of another incredible MOD weekend. Sad, because the shows are over, but really proud of everyone's hard work and jaw-dropping skills. I guess there isn't much to say, because after you looked at the photos and video, you know they are way cooler than me blabbing on about it. But I will just say that Nicholi is on a totally new level! Partying all night then casually hitting the 720 cashroll / front cork 1080 or twisty wizard, which I think it should be called. What a beast! Until next year freestyle fans, I can't wait to do it all again! - Sam Reynolds

 that 1080... sorry, twister, was nuts! Does flipping a car/buggy take much skill compared to a bike though? kind of seems like it's line 'er up, get the speed right and hold on...

 I remember the 1080 being that impossible trick certain riders would attempt here and there but would fail. Now here comes Nicholi doing a cashroll 1080.... absurd.

 Nicholi's style is bangers. And if you've watched any videos in the past 2 months of him, you'd learn he does have style.

 I watched Nicholi riding at the London bike show not long ago and he really does have style, some nice whips and euros. He just doesn't do it much because he is spinning about 100mph in a circle or creating a black whole by spinning his bike around to fast.

 Love the fact Nicholi's tricks are so insane he has no clue where he is whilst pulling em off.

 His insanely technical tricks are great for the sport - it let's judges decide how much style is worth vs. technical difficulty. We can live in a world that appreciates both big lazy dump threes and 1080 "twisters" - woot!
