@Pryan Apparently I am not hip enough to keep up with what "b's" are, but I would have understood them as bar spins, and backflips as "flips" but hey, to each their own.
But why would they put in a feature that slows down a rider before a feature that requires quite a lot of speed to hit, meaning the rider has to pedal their ass of instead of nicely flowing into it
No a berm is made to redirect a trail, all while holding ur speed. I dont think the riders wana slow down that much to hit a big jump. They made the 270 berm so they could have more features and still include the final hit, but it deff seems to be kinda sluggish.
People used to always complain about how much brake checking was needed in the past courses. I mean why else would they do that? If they put a big old right hip right there that would make it so the riders have way to much speed for the last feature
Brandon put in a few pedal strokes on his preview run coming out of the berm. If the berm gets loose there won't be many tricks going into the last feature.
the berm reduces the need for a brake check into the last feature, theres enough slope to regain the speed after the berm, maybe a pedal stroke or two, nothing major. The key to winning will be tricking into that feature I think, everywhere else will be pretty tight.
They said in the precedent post about Crankworx that's the athletes found the course too fast last year... so they kept this and the builders built the course as it's a bit slower this year... The Claw and Semenuk said that it was bad'ass this years, and that they could complete the course first try without touching anything as the past years... so i think there is no worries about this berm feature at all .
