First Ride: Fox's New Transfer Dropper Post - Adjustable Travel, Up to 240mm of Drop
Bikeyoke and Wolftooth still sound like far better options. I have both. In fact, I also have a Transfer...but it's dead, because Fox doesn't know how to design stuff like Bikeyoke and Wolftooth.

Canfield Bikes Introduces 2024 Nimble 9 Hardtail
A lot of no-skills keyboard warriors that think a degree or two of HTA really means something with dropper posts, short stems, 800mm bars and 29er wheels. Seriously, if you are endoing a bike in 2023, you need to go buy some more skills. 29 wheels just roll over wheel catchers like crazy. I have a downcountry/XC race bike that is 66 HTA and it loses speed on turns because it tries to ride outside and up the opposite side. It's good for straight ahead downhill, but it sucks at turning and keeping speed, because the slacker-than-other XC bike HTA. I also have an enduro bike that is much slacker and I'm not complaining there, but the point is slack HTA is blown way WAY out of proportion as "contributing to DH ability".

Canfield Bikes Introduces 2024 Nimble 9 Hardtail
My 66 degree HTA XC race/downcountry bike turns like shit on anything other than a straight ahead downhill. I got 4th place and raced it just fine, but I was losing speed in a lot of turns. My personal opinion is if you are endoing a 29er, you need to go buy some more skills. They roll right over wheel-catchers. There reason people endo is they are using skinny bars and let the wheel get turned 90 degrees in tech stuff, then they get ejected forward. Droppers, short stems and normal (wide) bars have fixed this. You don't need a 62 degree HTA and honestly, it makes a lot of bikes ride like ****. Yes, I have a slacker enduro bike too.

Industry Digest: Ellsworth's New Owners, Shimano Shuts Down Fake Website & 2022 Predictions
@FabulousFreshies: Yeah, how he would blame the riders for stuff like the original ID rockers failing...due to a faulty design that was later fixed, but he didn't skip a beat to blame the user. He also edited bike reviews to say things and reach conclusions they didn't make and then pasted them on his website. When others and myself called him on it, he went to the website, changed it, then called us liars. The guy is a compulsive liar and there are many more examples of his psychopathic behavior.

Enduro Bearings' New Maxhit Headset Has a Lifetime Guarantee - Sea Otter 2021
@tacklingdummy: Did you go through the BBs, or the bearings? When the bearings on my Wheels MFG eventually gave out, I replaced them with NSK or SKF high quality bearings. Runs great.

Spotted: Pole’s New 190mm Travel Bike
Yeah, I like single crown forks in the 150-160ish range, but when you start getting in this range, with big wheels (long axle to crown), a DC makes a lot more structural sense. You have to add all kinds of reinforcement to the crowns/steerer/headtube to deal with these massive fore-aft forces and a DC fork remains much stiffer. Stiffer fore-aft means less bending and binding which means better bump absorption and tracking, not to mention the torsional stiffness is dramatically better. Just the fact that the current SC forks keep creaking at the crowns is all the evidence you need of how ridiculously stupid this all is. Just put a Fox 40 or Boxxer on it and call it good. Also, because of the highly reinforced crown, the SC version ends up taller than the DC version, so you get the worst of both worlds with SC, flexier, and higher ride height for the same travel. This wasn't an issue back in the day when we started riding the "AM bikes", but it's gradually evolved to stupidity at this point.

Knolly Withdraws Patent Infringement Suit Against Intense
@nitur: Yes and Intense did file a counter-suit in their response to Knolly. It did challenge the patent. I got a PACER account so I could look at the court docs.
