M/L (18.5”) Trek Slash - 1 Owner!!

$1299 USD
Custom & modernized 160mm travel, 27.5 wheel, do it all shred sled. 2023 Shimano XT Linkglide 11sp drivetrain, new tubeless Specialized Butcher 2.6 tires, Rimpact Pro tire inserts front and rear, Chromag OSX Fubars, Raceface Atlas stem and 30t narrow wide chainring, Shimano XT Brakes, 160mm Fox 34 Kashima Factory fork w/working talas, Rock Shox Monarch Plus Debonair shock w/recent rebuild. Fox DOSS dropper post, bombproof DT Swiss EX471/350 wheels with 54t ratchet upgrade, Oury grips. Full frame disassembly, clean, and grease in 2023. Bike is ready to rip. Nothing on this bike has been left stock. It is build to tackle the toughest trails in the west from Whistler & Squamish to Sedona & Moab. Also performs admirably on all day alpine singletrack epics! A true quiver killer. Featuring Trek’s Full Floater suspension design with active braking pivot, this bike eats desert chunk like nothing else I’ve ever ridden. Best part is that it stays fully active even under heavy breaking. Yes the bike is 10 years old and yes, it’s got some scuffs, but the reason I’ve kept it for so long is because it’s so damn good! Despite the recent advancements in MTB, this bike has not left me wanting for anything else. Adjustable geometry and a talas fork means this bike can go from crushing XC laps after work to sending bike park double blacks without changing a thing. This is a remarkable ride that I hope will make its next owner just as happy as it’s made me for the past decade. Only thing I would change on it is upgrade to new 4 piston brakes. I still have the original 2x10 SRAM X7 drivetrain and Fox shock all in good working order if you want it. Also have used Maxxis High Roller II and Minon tires in both DH and EXO. Price is OBO. Shipping is additional.

Inside DT Swiss
Dave is the man! Lives just around the corner from me and got me one of my first jobs at DT Swiss when I was in High School. I will never ride another wheelset as long as I live. I just wish they would bring back that distinctive Hugi sound from the late '90s. The new ones just don't have the same ring to them. Great story BTW, speaks to the company's values and dedication to the consumer.

Crested Butte Ultra Enduro Is Not For The Faint Of Heart
Faack Yes!! This could revival the top world enduro races if done right. My personal stage wish list: Day 1- Monarch Pass Day- self shuttle, Agate Creek to Canyon Creek from snowblind cg Day 2- Bear Creek to Doctors Park Day 3- Flag Bear Deadman Day 4- 403 to 401 Day 5- Evolution bike park laps!! Personally, I don't think I could survive it at race pace, but it sure would be fun trying!!
