New trail

Heh, that trail reminded me of a long gone trail in my hometown. There was a main walking trail but it was so rough and totaly not cool to ride that the best way to ride it was to push through the forest floor. That was a pure freeride Smile steep and out of trail, every ride was different. Trouble was, I had cantilevers then Big Grin there was no way to stop, you rode all the way down with pressed brakes. Then I got Vbrakes and I could finaly do the descent without stopping to let the hands rest. Then I got disc brakes, and it sort of lost it's charm really. You could go faster but... it wasn't the same, you were not a brave challenger anymore.

This unawereness, innocence was awesome back then. I thought I suck going down with my crappy bike. If I would meet a guy now doing what I did, I would give him words of respect Smile i jump big stuff now, can ride faster than I probably wished back then to ever be. But I know now that I was damn way tougher on that shitty bike, than I am now on all those blows and whistles. They've cut down the forest so... I will never know

Thanks for bringing up the great memories man with Ur vid.

Cheers!

RideOn mate! I know just how you feel. I too often travel back to older trials I use to ride on my HT with no fork and rim brakes. Once what use to be a technical DH is smooth and simple. I use to love riding really steep sections and still do by like you said the unaware innocence was pure thrill. This trial was not hard other than in was steep and well, there was no trial, hahaahhahha I was pushing through and having a blast. Its fun to go back to old places and ride as fun as you can. Im deeply sadden to hear your old FR trial has been chopped down man. Last week I took my Double which has 90mm of rear and 130 up front and had a killer blast on a steep super rocky DH. It made me start thinking about getting a AM hardtail to enjoy the trials more rather than blasting through on 6 inches of travel. All in all it was a cool trial. RidEOn!

not much to add in terms of praise of edit and trail. any idea what this trail is for? I mean that you were somewhat following a path tho seriously overgrown that took you to your other trail. the steps and stuff made me wonder.
As far as experiencing the joy and rush of years gone by, why not pick up a rig that is the same as what you started on. and then rideon.
I learned on a bike with the U-brake less stopping power than even low profile cantis, 4 finger death grip all the way.

hahahahahhaha that would be cool man! I don't really have the money or time for a new bike it was just a feeling but a close to heat feeling. I have a GT in my garage its a dual sus and then I have a chameleon HT from Santacruze with a huge crack. I would like a bike like the chameleon as it was perfect for FR or AM! This trial I have no idea what its for. Other than this mountain was what people would cross to go from city to city before roads were put in. the trial was a trail but not really. we had a good time but I like a little more flow. We had to keep stopping and I tired so I just started plowing at the end. The steps at the end is a little park at the foot of the mountain, thats where we came out. The peak was the same peak I have had in many videos and with this trail added we now have 3 paths to choose from! I too think going back to full rigid bikes with U-brakes is a good idea. It gives you the best of the trial. RidEOn man!

Now that is some legitimate trail blazing right there. Doesn't get much better than coming across a new trail or natural feature to shred! Ride On Niko!

The song is by *Bush* and the name is "straight no chaser"
The wild sau is an awesome name thank you to Manny!
Yes, we have tons running wild here in our mountains but, have very little contact with them.
In Japanese the wild boar is called the Inoshishi I-no-shi-shi.
This was a new trail and the editing was too simple but it came out somewhat good, ahhahaha
RidEOn vidoe no Sakka!
