Clever design, I just wonder how long the firebox will last and how often you can use it.

Wow, minimalist for sure. Great it uses energy source abundant on the trailside too. Just like slackliner, I too am keen to see long term test! Good job on product intro and test

Thank you! Its made of stainless steel so, it should last for a long time. After 4 burn test its still sturdy and holding shape. At camp we burnt it for hours. I can see maybe the hinges breaking! I have made 4 so far, this a close to final version as for design. The prototypes help my conjure ideas and see how it fits together. Yes, the best part is you can gather sticks and little pieces of wood from anywhere, ahahahhah

Wow, do you mean this your design?

hahahahh Yes, my creation! Recently my hobby is making stoves. I have mastered my alcohol stoves to work how I like them with good fuel consumption. Now I have started playing with woods stoves for camping. So, to work out how it will hinge together took a couple of tries. But this design is pretty good, Im very happy with it! If you check out my cooking videos you can see my other alcohol stoves. I started making stoves because of my shoulder dislocation. I was off the bike for a couple of months in 2012 and things got rolling, hahahhahah Let me know I will send you some stoves mate!

Yes, it keep the fire contained perfectly. You must have an ash pan to collect embers. Then if you use cherry wood or other aromatic woods you can get a nice smoke flavor for sure! Thank you TakoSan!
