It wasn't just me, who thought: 'Damn that guy in front is steezy, why the heck can't the dude in the back get just a little looser ' Either way epic edit.

I love mountain biking, I love watching videos, but man what is with everyone trying to destroy every berm and corner these days by skidding.
I always have ridden the ride don't slide mantra, but now it seems if you leave the trail in good shape, you didn't "shred"?

Not to mention that trail would be hard to ride without sliding. And yah, ruts can be fun sometimes if they dont turn into creek beds. All my personal hidden trails have ruts in them.

Yea I get it, it's fun. I like to ride as fast as I can, sliding happens when you do that. The trend however seems to be sliding to look cool rather than enhancing speed. I guess it is the bike park influence where it is no big deal if you trash the trails.

Several of them I'd call fish tails rather than skids as they were done on straights for no apparent reason other than trying to look cool. Intentionally fish tailing on a straightaway doesn't make you go faster, it slows you down. Silly rabbits, skids are for squids.
