VOD that was so sick!
WOW This is like the least veiwed/faved vid that got vod ever. Like I mean it's vod with only 462 views | 25 faves . Usually vids get VOD after more people have watched it. Also why IS this vod?!? There are plenty of better vids than this. I mean don't get me wrong this vid is pretty solid but not vod worthy imo. Here come the negative props.
They sure seem random. I think that if the mods are selecting them, they should put up a statement. Something nice about why they picked it. Why they liked it, and why it is VOD, etc.
Pretty solid video. And nice riding Simon. The angles are good but try to work on stabilizing your shots a little more, less fast jolty movement. Also cut your clips up a little shorter so hes ex. not so far away when the shot ends, or starts. Other than that. Good work guys! -ep

I've never seen a VOD fail so miserably so quickly, or at all for that matter.
I guess the admins need to pay better attention to what they put up. On the bright side, this guy now has hundreds more hits he otherwise would not have gotten.

theres nothing wrong with it,
vods dont have to just be epic all the time, its a good vid of downhill on a cool looking trail so some of the comments need 2 calm down

that was just dull. I ride faster DH than that on my cyclocross bike! Seems to me that anyone with a posh camcorder can get vod but an amazing film shot on a cheap camera of a three armed rider doing a backflip and a front flip in the same move will never be VOD. Check out Nico-T's films if you want proper entertainment - he's got style.
Yeah here's where you clearly don't get what a VOD is. VOD isn't about making films of some kid triple back flipping off a 70 foot step down stair gap. It's about making films that showcase great filmmaking, great editing, great riding and overall gets you pumped to ride. That's why this video is VOD, it has a bit of all of that stuff. And no offense, I don't see you riding for Team Lama Cycles, so that clearly means you aren't even close to matching his speed.
I think you are missing my point, which I didn't explain too well. I meant that just because the edits are nice and the shot is steady doesn't make it a good film. Its about the content, and lets face it the content of this video is poor. I'd like to see some film that are different instead of trying to look like drop in TV all the time. If I had some talent I'd make one myself but thats life.

Haha, yes you are much faster than this rider. Do you know Simon? He just came second in pro men at the Canadian National Series, races world cups, and is representing Canada at the Worlds this year....nice try though.

If that makes no sense you should try harder at school. Pay special attention in English. There's been a rumor over here for years that all people from the US and Canada are thick. While I realise that this cannot be true you are not helping to silence these critics.
For how and what he was riding, I think he was a bit over dressed. His riding was nice a fluid, but if I could take breaks as well between sections I would almost look like I know how to ride.

I dont agree. He is filming a video wich would be broadcasted some where (like on pinkbike). He is wearing his sponsors and repersenting them and advertising for them.

well , its this kind of video that makes me wanna migrate to canada; I know lot's of people dissagree but for me this is what makes me wanna go for a ride
i think thats partly why it may be vod, its just a simple fresh tight twisty trail,but it makes you feel warm and fuzzy cause its not dusty or rocky.

too many tress and switchbacks in your way of DHilling, I guess, that's why the speed was kind of slow. Unlike those world class DH event, the courses were usually wideopened designed for speed. I would considered this kind of course for all mountain bikes. If added with skinnies, log rides, etc.. it would be a perfect VOD.

I rode this trail a couple of weeks ago and I have to say the trail has great flow and fun to ride. Great video's for the Comox Valley in your profile too.
