Have to send my frame back to germany..but they are looking me to cover shipping costs..anyone else done this? Who did you use? And how much did it cost?

Shipping was free when I sent back my complete frame (for waranty enquiry)

So was mine the first time..but because its not a clear warranty claim they want me to cover the costs!????

I'm not sure what rights you have in your country, but here in the UK I would challenge that outcome, as allowed to do within 6 months - if there is a fault it should be put right via repair or replacement. After paying xxx amount of pounds for a NEW bike, I expect it to be in a NEW and flawless condition! A t shirt does not rectify the issue with the item, even if it is only minor and cosmetic! But the shirt cost of few euro's and no one will ever notice except for you that the scratch has been touched up with paint!

If you wanted a perfect condition bike you should have payed double the amount and bought another brand from a bike shop. The fact you are saving huge amounts of money by ordering from a direct factory brand should be enough of an incentive to expect small cosmetic errors.

Also it's a mountain bike, it's going to get slightly marked

Go ride the damn thing, if that scratch makes you lose sleep you need a new hobby. you've been in some way compensated for it, if you're not happy with that tell them, but in the mean time go shred!!

If anybody has a couple minutes spare I'm interested in designing an adjustable geometry frame as part of my engineering degree. I've made up a really quick survey and if anyone has the time to fill it in (only 10 questions) that would be awesome.
