Just built up a 2013 Mega Am as a 27.5/26mullet,
First ride this afternoon, feels great but I don't have much to compare it too.
Stoked!

2013 Mega AM Mullet

Put it together for NZ$700 (US$420) so pretty solid for a budget build.

One of the best budget builds I have seen. Very cool!

Look at getting a mega 27, I’m 6’4 so I’m looking at the XL. What worries me is how small the stack height is on these bikes. Bigger guys is this a problem?

I’m 6’6” and am running a 40mm rise bar with 10mm of spacers under it. I also only have a 150mm dropper, and the amount of exposed seat post is comical. Highly recommend a 210mm dropper.

I'm also 6'4" with a 34 inseam. I ride an XL 290

I run a 30mm riser bar with about 12mm of spacers.

Very happy with the setup.

I'm running a 175mm dropper with exactly 37mm of dropper body (plus dropper post collar) showing. A 200-210 dropper would probably be my maximum length.

Anyone riding a Reactor 275 medium frame and running a 175mm dropper with a 29"-30" inseam?

I'm looking into buying a Mega 275 in Medium. I worry about the dropper post length though, as I have an inseam of 30 and I am afraid the seat will be too high.

On my 2016 Cube Stereo the seat tube is 400mm and the 150mm post sticks 1 inch out. The mega has 420mm, so if the post can be fully (or almost fully) inserted it would be OK!

Can anyone tell me if the post can be fully inserted? Or how much post sticks out?

I've got a 2017 medium Mega 275 with a 150mm Reverb. Not sure if it will be any different on the newer frames. It will go all the way in. You can tell it's the absolute limit though as it rubs on the bend right at the end of the post. I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam. Even though it will go in all the way, I have it about a 1/2" out to get the right height for me.

Thanks Mike. I guess I'll stick to a 150mm dropper.

A few on here have 180mm single crowns. Assuming you jack up the rear, it should be good (if a little heavy). Why not try the Fox 38?

Been considering this but house expenses have prevented me from pulling the trigger. The Rock Shox single crown isn't a terrible chassis at 180mm and is OK, but yea it is no dual crown, and the stem/heatube flex is pretty unavoidable without a dual crown.
