I had the orbit with no problems, it's just a knock off of the chris king

Ok guys got myself an apprenticeship and the boss has worked out I'm into bikes and buying and selling some bits etc and wants a bike. Looking at Boardman comp hybrids but not sure what size to look for. He's 5 10 to 5 11 foot ish. 19" 20" 21"? Thanks in advance Smile

aren't Boardmans sold through halfords? I'd avoid halfords from what I've heard

People's favourite value for money bike stands? Preferably no more than £100

doesn't surprise me :L I have a fat spanner stand, not had it long but it seems decent. Bit over £100 IIRC

meh, it's okay but the pcs10 is wayyyy better if you can stretch for it.

Almost twice the price though. What exactly isn't good about the 9?

the head on the pcs9 isn't very stiff, the stand tends to flex quite a bit if you have a DH bike on it.

Also, the head on the 10 can be replaced with the pro one if you ever need/want to.

It's also a but easier to fasten the pcs10 because of the qr style thing, you can flip the lever to take up most of the slack, and then just give it a few turns to tighten it down. (it may not be that important to you but it's nice when you have a 40lb DH bike in one hand)

Obviously if you can't afford the 10 then the 9 will do just fine, but given the lifespan of a stand, I would get the 10.

pcs9 head VS pcs10 for reference:
