Nice build. I'm also curious on how much better you are at flying through the air now? No really.. how do you like it?

Damn...better late to reply than never I guess!

The funny thing is I actually DO fly better through the air...but my old bike was a shorter travel Cannondale Rize 140. I'm not sure what it is about the Blur, but landing this thing on jumps and drops is as soft as a pillow. I think they've just done a really good job at tuning the shock curve and tuning the shock, and it really shines. So couple that confidence in landing with a slacker 67.6 degree head tube angle, and that means I'm hitting things a lot faster and definitely getting more air. This is one playful little bike and I like it!

My next step with this bike is to get a 160mm fork with 20mm axle and front wheel for those downhill/shuttle run days. The Revelation 150mm is a great trail fork, but seems a bit out of it's element on the big hits and fast rock gardens. Have to ride a bit off the back when it gets really rough. A Lyrik or Marz 55 is on my radar...

You wont regret it, just took my 36 float for its first ride yesterday... man is it fun having a burly fork up front. Even for XC riding, well worth the weight penalty in my opinion if you are considering a lighter option like the 36 float.

I really want one. Looking to get a frame this year Big Grin

Any coil fork recommendations though? 150-160mm?

For a low cost option, I had the Sektor Coil 150mm on it and it was a very good fork. Not a lot of adjustability, but it really didn't need it. Smooth as butter and just worked, no fuss.

Fox 36 Van is also pretty bulletproof. I've always wanted to try a Marz 55 coil as well, but my local shop says they've had a lot of problems and working with the Marz warranty support is terrible.

Here's a pic of it at Downieville with a 55mm stem and the Sektor coil:

Nice, how do you like the LEV?

After a couple months on it, I can say I LOVE it. Installation was pretty easy, the lever mount integrated into the ODI grips is very low profile. Being able to mount the post in literally any position for the best cable routing is great, and the post itself works perfectly so far. I'll just have to see how it holds up over the next 8 months or so before I give it my final stamp of approval.

Well for most of my riding, even the 150mm is overkill. But who knows, maybe a F36 TALAS would fit the bill? It's just hard to drop a grand on a fork when the Revelation works great for 90% of what I ride.

Stay away from the TALAS. My 36 Float is spot on for this bike. It is not so much the extra travel, but the extra stiffness that makes it awesome. I have no problems climbing with the 36 up front and climbing is very steep in Korea. They do not understand the concept of switchbacks. My only beef is with the Kashima coat. I ride in a very rocky area and scratched it within 3 weeks. It brought a small tear to my eye.

NICE elguapo ! How is the fork? It's a beaut. Uzzi is sick too, just too many stickers IMO. What rotors are those?

Thanks bro. Lovin' it so far! Feel super smooth, especially on the bigger bumps and hits.
