Does anybody really have a DH bike anymore?

Here is my new project, going to be 27.5" at some point but might ride it pretty much as-is for the nostalgia factor first.

2012 Cove Shocker project. Starting point.

The enduro bike actually killed the DH bike.

Session 9 complete with some changes 220mm rotors Michelin tyres Ergon DH saddle Hope QR clamp OneUp polymer pedals

Way less common than they used to be, even at DH races.

I definitely had no need for one as my enduro bike will handle anything, but excited to give a big squish a shot as a nostalgic park bike.

Although Enduro bikes are mint, riding tracks blind or trying features for the first time is definitely better on a DH bike. So much get out of jail free action

I will always own a DH bike. Enduro bike can handle the terrain sure is just can't compare beyond that.

If you live somewhere you can use it, there's nothing better

now with saint brakes reverse seat carbon post and superstar mag pedals making a very trim 43.4lbs

I still have mine, although I am riding it less and less. Never lets me down, over 10 years old, over 43lbs and 26 inch wheels. A bit of a relic (like its owner)

I don’t own one but they are pretty common here. There’s still a solid shuttle culture here and folks willing to push to the top. We also have a popular beer league series and I think that helps too.

Lol preach. I have a KSL and its the closest to how my Demo rides. The Delirium and Arrival are close, but not on par. And these are 175/170 bikes.
