Okay, unfortunately you missed one critical step. When mechs bleed brakes they agitate the lines by flicking them to get air bubbles out. Now, in this case, I recommend placing the caliper on an anvil and reefing on it with a large hammer. And while doing this, wear eye protection, because if you are hitting it hard enough, peices will fly off. saving even more weightDead Horse

If the brake's are sealed the glue wont cure.
