Synopsis:

Episode 7 of The Atherton Project begins in Windham for round 5 of the World Cup with the team feeling the pressure for points following the disappointment of the last round – especially for Gee, if he’s to retain his title this season.

Gee looked like he had a goor run going but ended with an off the bike crash just below here and didn t make the podium.

Then it’s on to Whistler for the Crankworx event, a good chance to get away from the World Cup and have some fun, whether it’s judging the Miss Trail Bunny competition or working on some backflips in a foam pit.


Now in its third series, Red Bull’s reality TV series ‘The Atherton Project’ is a fly-on-the-wall show tracking the exploits of the most famous family in mountain bike history. Follow British riders Dan, Gee and Rachel Atherton as they compete in events around the world in the 2011 season.

 hahah that was funny as hell man ! best episode yet ! Bikini babes , fast riding and watching them in a more relaxed atmosphere was very cool , had me smiling all the way through Smile

 hahah, great episode, I love the way how they are fooling around between the races and trainings. I am also proud from Polish Pete - he is got a great job, he is a good mechanic and as I saw in the last part of this clip he is got some skills - backflip in 7 attemps? cheers to him Smile

 i did a backflip in two attempts, but that was on skis into an air bag, but i doubt id ever try it on a proper jump, backflips are so scary because you cant see where your going to land until the last minute.

 I dont get why Dan Atherton isn´t getting better results - he´s a very very talented rider. I know the level of the game is super high out there but he seems like he´s got the technique and level to do much better. What do you reckon lads?

 He like just got out of a massive injury (broken neck), that's still something that makes you think about what you are doing, and maybe ease down a bit. And he still makes top 70, which is nice, lightyears from most of us ^^

 I know man, you are right. I remember when he broke his neck. I wonder if he could do something else apart from DH. Maybe just freeriding like many awesome riders and that way get the recognition he really deserves. Another thing, I feel sorry for him cus I know he was the first one in his family who started riding and it´s cus of him that the other two Athertons took up riding and racing. Plus, you can tell he adores the soport just for the sake of the sport whereas Gee and Rache seem more into racing winning and being 100% competitive which is fair enough. But the one Atherton who give you the impression that truely enjoys racing than anything else, is Dan. Then again, he´s had that horrible crash and for sure he´s done loads and loads of thinking and reflecting.
