Dear Santa- can you please send me a skid steer or excavator or catapiller D8 bulldozer with a cage i really hate having to always deal with brush so lets just remove all living substanses within a 12 ft radius of the trail
Took a four day trip up to OR last month and got to see the level of trail building going on up there, and let me tell you, it's unreal!
Everyone involved deserves utmost respect. They got their shit together for sure.
yep... it's actually AWFUL... no reason to come here. Move along, thank you. I hear Cali is GREAT, like REALLY GREAT, nobody on the trails... go there.
I think this is inspirational, a group working together to achieve a common goal which leads to riding your bike.
Must be an awesome sense of achievement amongst the group.
We have a similar thing happening in South Australia at a remote place called Melrose, the local riders got their shit together and made a whole heap of trails happen, now its a popular road trip destination for many SA bikers and the local economy has benefited massively too!
Agreed. I just rode Follow The Leader today and I've been on Flow Motion a couple times now. These trails are loads of fun. Brake erosion on Flow Motion already. I've never been more challenged by a trail as I have on FTL. That trail is definitely new school.
Much props to PDW's dedication to giving back to the community and helping make this trail build day a HUGE success, as well as the BLM and IMBA (and Mr. Wells mini-excavator skills) for making SRTS a great place to ride.
NWTA (nw-trail.org) hosts trail days during the winter months, join us for throwing some dirt!
Just moved to Portland a couple of weeks ago and I've been to Sandy Ridge twice. The hard work trail work done here by volunteers here is amazing. A great place to ride and great people to ride with.
(And some rocks!)
(And some dirt!)
