Dirtlej Epic Enduro Dates Announced For 2024

After a 3 year break, the Epic Enduro is back in the Caroux mountains. On March 31, 2024 the 10th edition of the Dirtlej Epic Enduro will take place in Olargues.

Vélo Caroux – OCCI, Loizo rider productions and the Local MTB Club Vélo Caroux join forces to revive this legendary event created in 2014.


On the program there is the classic solo version, whilst also races for teams of 3, e-Mtb, and also a race for ages 11-18. More than 800 participants from all over Europe are expected, under the leadership of the Vélo Club Caroux.

The Epic Enduro is an extraordinary event that is as much a sporting feat as a personal challenge. With more than 100 km of circuit, 11 stages and 5000 meters of elevation gain divided into 3 loops to cover in a day and all by bike, it will be necessary to manage physical and mental output to tame the course by crossing all the time gates in time and to win the precious 'Epic d'Or'.


But the Caroux sometimes has the upper hand! For those who dared to take up the challenge without reaching the Grail, the Silver Epic will reward the finishers of the first 2 loops and the Bronze Epic the finishers of the first loop! Looking forward to doing better next year…

The 100 volunteers on the day of the event are already maintaining the trails to offer perfect conditions to all participants.


On the club side, the team of trail builders has already been at work for several months and they are working hard to roll out the red carpet on all stages. On D-Day, nearly a hundred volunteers will be mobilized to welcome you. Their goal is to offer you the best of the best so that you leave with only one desire: to comeback and put your wheels in the Caroux!

The Galy Guiraud family, led by Théo Galy, are already working on the stages to create a very special edition with all the ingredients that make the reputation of the Epic: a start at dawn, a first stage at night, wild trails, memorable switchbacks series, ancient stone walls and above all: sweat, happiness, and ultimate pleasure!


As in previous editions, onboard cameras will be published a few weeks before the fateful date so that everyone can get a clear idea of the stages.

For this renaissance, Dirtlej chose to partner with Epic Enduro as title partner. A brand whose motto is “No more excuses” makes sense in the face of the enduro spike. With their expertise in riding gear for all conditions, riders will no longer have excuses to train all winter to be ready in time.




Loizo Rider Productions joins all the volunteers of the Club Caroux bike to make this 10th edition a success. With more than 15 years of experience in enduro events, the leaders Jérôme Clementz and Pauline Dieffenthaler were keen to revive this monument of enduro.
