“This camp was the most fun and educational camp I have ever attended. Lindsey started the camp out by addressing vulnerability and how we’re all in this together, which immediately helped calm my nerves”, said Maggie, a Vermont participant. “Our coaches were talented, patient and explained things in creative ways that we all understood. They challenged us but made us feel safe and therefore women were accomplishing things they never thought possible! Ladies AllRide is a wonderful and welcoming organization. I left feeling inspired, empowered, and grateful to have spent an entire weekend with such encouraging, awesome women!”

Lindsey Richter, founder and Director of Inspiration at Ladies AllRide, has been involved in the bike industry for over 20 years. After 10 years traversing the country with the “AllRide Tour” riding, racing, promoting products and running a kids’ race team, she made it her mission to get more women into mountain biking. She became certified to coach in 2010 and has since taught mountain biking full-time around the world.

"Mountain biking's transformative power has been instrumental in my life, inspiring me to impact other women's lives. The symmetry between mountain biking and life has taught me so much about myself. It has helped me with my mental and physical health, it’s made me realize what I’m capable of, it’s taught me to trust myself and how to get past obstacles on the bike and in life. I’ve made it my life’s mission to pay this knowledge and experience forward by helping as many women as possible discover their full potential on and off the bike."

Ladies AllRide has a team of experienced, certified, skilled, and passionate coaches who are committed to the mission to help more people who identify as women reap the benefits of mountain biking. “We not only teach valuable bike handling skills, but we also inspire participants to be more aware of their thoughts. We help them learn how to ride through insecure, fear-based thoughts that inhibit growth and success on the bike and in life. Through our coaching we help women see how the same bike skills required to get over obstacles – understanding, practice, determination, balance, momentum - apply equally to mastering the obstacles in their lives,” said Richter. “It's magical to witness women have those 'ah-ha' moments!”

“For ten years, Ladies AllRide has been tearing down so many barriers that keep women from entering off-road cycling,” said Cassondra Spring, Liv Global Brand Manager. “Through their camps and platforms, they provide a supportive community that champions womens’ skills and confidence, while also introducing the joy that comes from riding with other women. Their commitment to growing women’s mountain biking is unparalleled and Liv could not be more proud to be aligned with the values Ladies AllRide brings to cycling. This is a partnership we’ve held close since day one of their inception, and we look forward to continuing support for their game-changing work."

An important component to the camps are the education stations where women learn about setting up and adjusting suspension, fixing flat tires, bike maintenance, gear, facing fear and so much more. And then of course there's the demo gear and raffle prizes thanks to so many great sponsors!

“SRAM has been a top supporter of our program from the onset”, as noted by Richter. “I have worked with them since the early 2000’s when they initiated their own women's program, recognizing the necessity for increased female participation in the sport and industry. When our skills camps commenced, SRAM was among the initial sponsors to jump on board! Our bikes continue to be equipped with top-notch SRAM components and RockShox suspension, thanks to their contributions. They have generously supported us and our camps for the past decade and we feel lucky to work with such a great brand.”

"We're thrilled to collaborate with so many incredible companies in the outdoor industry”, said Meredith Brandt, Ladies AllRide Partner and CEO. "Our sponsors, most of whom have been with us since inception, recognize the worth of educational programs like ours, where we empower and inspire women to be enthusiastic, lifelong riders. We are incredibly grateful to have the commitment and support from so many awesome brands.”

 This is dope as hell! The fact that some pedals which when you’re on them pedaling completely do not matter, has over 100 interactions while the effort to make our sport more accessible and inclusive has zero deeply saddens me. Less consumerism and more badasses on bicycles please!

 Great stuff! My wife, a former World Cup racer has taught many women to ride over the years, and it's always fun and exciting to watch them gain confidence, seasoning sections. When women learn from other women, the fear factor is less an obstacle, and then after a while, they're sending it with the dudes. It's great to see. There should be more of these. And dudes should be ready and willing to help, with women doing the demonstrations and leading into sections, with guys being there for support. In the end, I say that women and men should ride together, but these camps can help make that more common.

 What's the best seasoning for sections? Are there certain seasonings for certain sections, or one for all?

 @FaahkEet: anything spicy, of course.

 My wife is an extremely green beginer. She attended a women's only MTB101 course last summer her in B'ville and it was hugely beneficial. As with many relationships, me teaching her vs. other women in this type of setting is a world of difference. Kudos for this. Big Grin

 Not sure my girlfriend is willing to take vacation time for this. But if she is, I might send her to Sedona. Price looks pretty reasonable.

 This is rad.
