Orange Dirt World Team Launch 2015

Earlier today the Dirt Race Team announced that they would not be renewing their partnership with Orange Bikes for 2016. After a successful two year deal, the team move into next season with a few changes. Despite his successful season, young gun, Jacob Dickson will not be joining Ben Reid, Phil Atwill and Isak Levinson for 2016.

bigquotesI would also like to take this opportunity to wish Jacob the best of luck for next season, any manager will tell you that it's far from straightforward during this sponsor and rider transfer period balancing the sponsor's requirements and budgets and unfortunately we haven't been able to offer Jacob the support he requires moving forward... I think we did a great job giving him the support to go out and focus on the racing, and with that said Jacob did a great job too. I think he has a bright future ahead of him and I truly hope someone can step in and continue to support him." - Ben Reid

Jacob Dickson was 3rd on the day for the juniors and keeps his chances alive to move up a spot in the overall.

The team are yet to announce their new sponsor and Ben has hinted that there will be a few new additions to the team for next year:

bigquotesIt's a sad day to move on from this partnership with Orange but all good things must come to an end and it seems now is that time for the Dirt team and Orange bikes. Fortunately we haven't been short on options and we will let that cat out of the bag soon enough with our future sponsors and riders. - Ben Reid

It's a shame they couldn't support Jacob, arguably he is a better rider than some of the seniors

Doubt they can even afford to sponsor a race team. I'm sure I can't be the only one who was already in the habit of getting all their online news from PB and barely ever reads anything in Dirt since they stopped the mag, especially as the website is horrible to view on my android phone.

It's horrible to look at on any screen unfortunately. They really threw away a lot of goodwill with that decision. I was always a subscriber, and now...nothing. Shame.

Same here, real shame. I used to spend all month waiting for the next copy. The site is dreadful, might work beautifully on an iPhone, but I can't view it properly on my Samsung Android. Rather than a web 'designer' they could really use a usability expert.

It'd be ok if they actually put anything on the website, been looking forward to the carbon dh bike test they did in pila but it's been nearly 3 months since they put the 1st video up and still waiting for some of them. Total crap. Website hasn't been the same since billy left.

I've been waiting for just the same thing. Seems like the put the Mondraker up and then gave up.

Think they put the Tues up as well. Agree with the others about how much I looked forward to the mag and how crap the website is.

I agree with all of the comments about Dirt dropping ball when they:
a. lost Billy the web and
b. lost the printed mag.

YT would literally be awesome for the team though!
Does anyone remember when MBUK used to have it's own DH team with Peaty, Warner and Will Longden!!?
