nice to see skateboard companies are jumping on the mtb band wagon!
  • 6 0
i think its a good thing
  • 21 0
hahah that is an absurdly killer team
  • 2 1
Sick brand, make a sick team, composed by the sickest riders !
  • 9 0
does the word stacked come to mind or is it just me?
  • 14 5
Wow osiris... sucks. I cant believe that hahaha, should've put all these guys on 6.0
  • 6 2
i dont mind negative props at all, but every body who negative props me loves/wears osiris which is a punishment in its own
  • 4 2
I hate their high tops that everyone and their mothers own. Sick fuckin team though.
  • 1 1
hahahah R-dog isnt riding his nike's anymore lol. al the santa cruz-aptos kids are going to be dying now lol jk
  • 7 1
Not to open up another debate but I think your better off to support a company like Osiris than you are feeding another corporate monster like nike. Now I'll Step away from the soapbox.
  • 3 1
but if that corporate monster makes good shoes than who cares, personally i would go with vans or etnies above everything
  • 1 0
I hear ya, but if there are two companies both making "good" shoes shouldnt you support the one with a history in action sports vs. the one without? I look at nike like a virus with a unlimited appetite, they didnt even consider action sports a viable market until they had saturated every stick and ball sport on the planet. Consumers need to recognize when there being bought and sold. I've been wearing Vans for 25 years.
  • 1 0
so what your saying is since they both make good shoes that i should chose a company that isnt big even if i do like their shoes. i like vans for snowboard boots not so much for skate shoes though, normaly to plain but there are a few i would wear. the reason i like nike is because they have so many different shoes. who cares if nike didnt consider making action sport shoes? and they have been into skateboarding for a while now.
  • 1 0
I have both osiris (old models) and nike,,, osiris are cool, but in some ways i prefer more that classic design in nike6.0... apart from that, it's a symptom that the mtb freeride/dj/slopestyle is gainin' market...
Nike it's a big company that cares about big money, and if they are dropping the 6.0 maybe it's because by their scale there isn't enough profit... there aren't as much dirt jumper and freerider as tennis player or runners or soccer players...
Smaller companys like Osiris or Orchid are cooler and more involved in to the action sports world so i guess in the end it's best this way... And, what a team, they jumped in big style
  • 1 0
I have owned a few pair of osiris shoes and all of them have lasted more than a year and a half, unlike a pair of adio skate shoes which ripped after one year. But I downhill with 5.10 Karver shes and I will never go back to riding with normal skate shoes. Maybe Osiris will release a DH specific shoe sometime soon
  • 1 0
i bought my DCs in 2007, theyre a bit tight but they still fit okay and i use them every day and for riding! i
there definitely not in mint condition (small hole in the bottom) but after 4 years of constant use i'd say the £60 was more than worth it Smile so Brett236 clearly bought a shitty pair of DCs.
  • 1 0
i have been sponsored by these through hook-it.com and get a discount but they cant ship me any trainers or clothes what so ever so what was the point in given the deal in the first place thats my only gripe with them otherwise they do great stuff
  • 1 0
because with sponsor house your not actually sponsored. even if you dont acept the contract you still get a code for discount. as a test i put up so pictures of me from my first week of biking, aplied to a bunch of companies and every one gave me an offer. its bs
  • 1 0
still takes the piss in my book
  • 1 0
just order from dans comp, im not sure if they ship to uk but they prob will
  • 1 0
cheers dude they do ship to the uk i just checked
  • 1 0
ya i figured they would, shipping should be pretty fast to. normaly when i order stuff it gets to guelph after the first day then i go pick it up the next. and thats when it tells me 4-6 day shipping
  • 1 0
there are all sorts of places that sell Osiris shoes in the UK... or does it need to be from a main supplier..??
  • 1 0
yeah but they wont except my discount code i have to do it through the osiris shop in order to use my discount and they wont ship to the uk ive e-mailed them several times and got the same response each time tbf i aint that bothered i have 3pairs of 5tens on their way courtesy of ryan berecloth and stoke you out contest
  • 1 0
 lucky bugger!!
  • 1 0
ginged26dj - are you seriously f*cking stupid? every noob that signs onto sponsor house thinks they are the shit! its completely fake! for the uneducated people like you.
  • 2 0
 exactly
  • 1 0
i domt think im the shit m8 far from it who are you anyway i didnt know fuck all about sponsorhouse and your talking like i should know everything look i have not used in about a year i was merely stating a point of experience instead shouting down to people and swearing try using constructive criticism im not uneducated far from it i just didnt know a lot about sponsorhouse
  • 1 0
well maybe before you use a website that is going to offer you sponsor deals, you should learn about it
  • 1 0
like i said it does not bother me either way i dont go on the site anymore i was just passing on some info tbh it does not work the uk its better suited to the american and canadian markets i pretty much guessed after the 1st sponsor deal what ever you want to call it that it was not for me and would be harder for them to ship me the stuff now let that be an end to it
  • 2 0
i wouldnt call it a sponsor deal...
  • 2 0
This would be why they are dropping riders from their Bmx team.... I guess that means Mtb is more lucrative, not that that wasnt fairly obvious. Companies go where the money is.
  • 1 0
your kidding right? bmx is bigger than mtb. the only reason they would be dropping bmxers is so that they could afford to have a mtb team to. and osiris isnt that big of a company compared to most shoe companies so it seems logical to expand and try and draw a bigger audience
  • 1 0
5ten for life! Osiris doesn't do mountain biking, their a skateboard company and should keep it that way. Heres to a corporation with more money than brains trying to eat up a new market.
  • 1 0
Pffft, 5.10 were just climbing shoes. Aren't you glad they didn't stay that way?!

Osiris however, make junk skateshoes. 5.10, made amazing climbintg shoes when they branched over.
  • 3 0
They couldn't have picked a much better team.
  • 2 0
i'll stick with my Fivetens or shimano shoes.
  • 1 0
Im stoked to see some competition against Nike in the MTB scene (More DJ and street/park oriented)
  • 1 0
Im hopeing to see a MTB specific shoe designed by the team.... then everone would get them.
  • 1 0
DCs are a little to narrow
  • 1 0
Got to be one of the coolest teams,so many awsome riders!
  • 1 0
 stacked
  • 1 0
 6.0 all the way
  • 1 0
 good job Osiris! Wink
  • 3 6
finally 5-10 will have some decent competition
  • 5 0
Nike 6.0 would be the company you are talking about. 5-10 is about DH and osiris has much more DJ/Slope sponsored athlete.
  • 3 0
^ Agreed except I think I heard Nike is shutting down the 6.0 line after this year. Not to say you can't still buy some in a store right now though...
  • 1 2
nike 6.0 don't sponser mtb riders anymore they used to sponser DMR riders.
  • 2 0
they still sponsor bmx and i highly doubt they will be shutting down. 6.0 is the biggest line for skaters and bmxers and mtb. some people wear the sb line but most dont
  • 3 3
 DC would be sick
  • 9 0
not a big fan of dc, they make nice shoes but they fall apart to fast. vans, nike and etnies are tops for shoe durabilty in my books.
  • 1 0
i had a pair of osiris shoes and they were really resistant, about 4 or 5 months of brakeless bmx riding in street I think two or three years ago nike 6.0 sponsored cam mccaul and brandon semenuk for one season and then the mtb section of 6.0 dissapeared.
  • 1 0
osiris is good but i bought a pair of nike sb shoes last march and there is no problems and hardly any wear
  • 1 1
I´ve made a research on google about cam mccaul and 6.0 and i found in the rockstar website that nike is still sponsoring cam
www.rockstar69.com/athlete.php?ath=185
  • 1 0
i think semenuk is still sponsored by them to, he still wears only nike shoes in videos so im guessing he still is. or hes just getting free nike shoes still

My 6.0 shoe's were the most uncomfortable shoe's i've ever had, sticking with DVS.
  • 2 2
 all about supra's... haha
  • 3 0
seriously man? or are you kidding?
  • 1 0
I only ride in 5.10's but as far as casual shoes go, I've had DC's, Etnies, Osiris, Vans, Nike's and they've all been outdone by the pair of Adidas Im rocking right now. I've had them for over a year now, and there isn't even one sign of wear anywhere. They've been on runs, hikes, in the mud, in the ocean lol, in the sand, and they're still good. Not to mention, good support in them too. -ep
  • 1 0
ya true i forgot about adidas, probably the most durable shoe but for support im digging the etnies aaron ross shoes im rocking right now. really nice ankle support and the velcro strap mean you dont have to run em super tight so they wont fall of so you can looses them off a bit. and the sole grips pedals like no other shoe i have worn, amazing tread on em. i cant say anything about the durabilty because i got them 2 weeks ago but the last pair of etnies i owned lasted me about 5 or 6 months. tylerworden.pinkbike.com you need to message that kid and get him to take a pair of his adidas. he has had them for 2 or 3 years now and is sewing them everytime they rip now because he likes them so much
  • 1 0
 brett236... not for riding in
  • 1 0
 adidas or etnies?
  • 1 0
why do people hate supra's just because they're really expensive and fall to pieces in about a day doesn't mean .... i hate supra's! Razz
  • 1 0
ill tell you why i have supras... i ref hockey and when i do rep games i need to dress up, i dont really like dress shoes and supras have some nice shoes.
  • 1 0
 i ride in 5.10 btw.
  • 1 0
if supra shoes lasted i would buy them because they make dope shoes but they dont last and for the price you par for em they should last.
  • 1 0
hmm... my last 2 pairs of shoes have all been supra's and they're still in really good shape and i've had them for a while.
  • 1 0
but do you ride in them?
  • 1 0
no i said above that i dont... if you ride in supra's then your not very smart... i ride in 5.10's, i do build in my supra's somethings though. Never had any problems with them falling apart.
  • 1 0
when i mean a shoe lasts im talking about one that i ride in. not just for wearing around. any shoe you dont ride in generally tends to last a long time
  • 1 0
how about this... from today on I will use my oldest pair of supra's for dj'ing and let you know when they fall apart... sound fair?
  • 1 0
what type of riding do you do? if its downhill they will last alot longer than brakless bmx or even bmx/dj in general. and a good test is to wear them everytime you wear shoes. thats what i do with mine and my etnies and nikes last about4-6 months each doing that
  • 1 0
ill wear them for dj, downhill and building in, probably do a bit of skate park for good measure once the bc weather lets up...
  • 1 0
sucks we have to wait till spring to ride again, cant wait for all the snow to go but at the same time i want tons of it for boarding
