Race Report & Video: REV Enduro Series Final at Powderhorn

The Specialized Revolution Enduro Series presented by Fat Tire wrapped up a banger season of good times and great racing at the Colorado Western Slope's Powderhorn Mountain Resort. Like the previous five series stops, Powderhorn offered up new, diverse and challenging tracks for racers to figure out in the two days of practice leading up to race day. With a base elevation of 8200 feet and max of 10,400 feet, Powederhorn sits on the edge of the Grand Mesa, which is the largest flat top mountain in the world. From a racer's perspective, the sharp and abundant volcanic rocks offered a variety of line choices with some being faster and riskier than others, and each of the four stages were legitimately technical and physical.
Western Slope local Tydeman Newman put his local knowledge and speed to test in claiming the Open Men's victory.
Fiona Dougherty got back between the tape to take 5th in the Open Women's race after being sidelined from racing most of the summer due to a foot injury.
Kona racer and athlete wrangler Becky Gardner rode her way into 4th place in the Open Women's race.
Youth 10-12 Ellis Bates on his way to a big win.
Maxon Anderson catching air on stage 1's Prospector trail to take 4th in the Youth 10-12 race.
Junior Men's 13-14 AJ Lembitz stayed on the gas to take the win.
Plenty of creek crossing and slick bridges from the brief rain before the start of stage 1.
Stage two had racers tackling a big transition which included this rocky hike-a-bike.
Once on top it was a flat pedal to the rocky singletrack of stage two.

Jake Ingram kept it consistent for 6th in the Open Men's race to also claim the overall REV Enduro Series Championship.

Katie Catanzarite also had a solid weekend for third in the Open Women's race and second place for the Women's Series Championship
Jack Spranger bouncing through one of the numerous rock gardens on stage 4's Pinball Alley to claim 2nd in the Open Men's race.
Chris Heath took 4th in the Open Men's race.
Will Doherty claimed the 5th step in the Men's Open race.
Men's 40-49 winner Jeremiah Bradshaw wowing the REV crew with this sendy line on Pinball Alley.
Women's Open race winner Sophie Allen had a solid race with stage victories on three of the four stages.
Lia Westermann also had a great weekend to take second in the Women's Open race and clinched the Women's REV Enduro Series Championship.
Mo Lee riding with consistency to claim 4th in the Women's Series Championship.
Titus Bates rallying to second place in the Youth 10-12 race.
