 I've heard it can cuase the collarbone to break easier and I would obviously prefer the that than the neck break... Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this... I think these braces are pretty sweet regardless, anything that saves your neck and spinal cord is good with me... Collarbones heal...

 to 'thefreerider' it doesnt rhyme full stop, learn english, and yes they will have a price tag, or no on would buy on, if the only helmet you could by was £300+ not alot of people would be wearing them.

 well tbh as i have already stated i would be happy to pay near enough anything for a neck brace that could stop me spending the rest of my life in a wheelchair, oh and by the way i am english so i cant learn a language i already know and i would love to see people riding dh with no helmets as i think that is one of the most crappiest statments i have ever heard

 thats my point troy lee helmets are around 350 for the d3 in the uk so paying 220 for a neck brace is cheep in reality and tbh imo if you can offord a bike you can offord the protection

 but if you dont have 200+ to spare, you cant get one can you? bell drop = 100, head saved, and if all helmets were as much as troy lees people couldnt afford them could they? so more people wouldnt be wearing them, take a look back a few years, not qalot of people buying helmets.

 no maby people wernt wearing helmets doing dj's or street but if you dont wear a helmet doind dh then you have no commen sence and again if you have a dh bike and spend some money on some new brakes or a new drivetrain/ cranks then you could haev bought your self a neck brace that could stop you form being in a wheelchair

 mate, watch old mtb videos, and personally id rather have new brakes then a neck brace, brakes are manditory, a neck brace is an optional extra, which some people cant afford, £200+ is alot for an optional extra, once they come down in price we'l' see more and ill get one, but at the moment, a helmet and spine protector will do me nicely.

 BIG UP THE POC anyway brakes you can bleed and put new pads is so getting new brakes is also an optional extra however they will not come down in price as leatt has done so much reaserch and continues to do research in to ways to improve their brace they are also the only company that sells neck braces that are certified

 they will come down, other companies will buy rights and make them cheaper, leatt will start making cheaper models in the future to appeal to a new market, and other companies like alpinestars make them to and just as well, and depending where you look there also cheaper, and new brakes arnt an optional extra, i can see your reason for that, but if your not comfertable with your brakes you'll not be comfterble riding and thats when more accidents occur, and neckbraces are quite new to this sport, yes they provide comfort and protection, but theres a very small chance of you breaking your neck riding, its easily possible, but its not a thing you see or hear about everyday, there a great idea, but we've gone years without them, and there just to expensive, aving to fork out £200 for a helmet hurts the wallet the most, but then having to buy a neckbrace for over £200 means i wont eat for a month, plus other protective gear and bike parts, the sport is just getting too much to afford.

before this someone used "concrete schoolyard" by j5 in a vid and before that transition bikes used the beat for "big homie style" by some of the seattle locals in their promos. i think i've only seen one episode of nitro circus..

 Leatt braces can save your life, but that can also disperse otherwise insignificant impacts to other parts of your spine causing more injury. But all in all im sure it probably helps more than it hurts........
