"Shred! Extreme Mountain Biking" is a multi-platform video game that captures the intensity, flow and lifestyle of Downhill and Freeride Mountain Biking.

The game has just been released for Windows Phone 8 and is also available for Android, via Google Play and iPhone/iPad via the app store!

The game has received very useful feedback from the Pinkbike community since its initial release, and consequently the game has undergone many updates improving performance, gameplay and level design.

Many of you were disappointed at the lack of a release on Windows Phone...thanks to your feedback, now you have one!

"Riding is my passion, and for years I've wanted to make a game that can match the rush you get on the trails. I want Shred! to be a game all riders can relate to and consequently feedback from the community is very important. If there is something you think could be improved, a cool new idea for a trail, or maybe an innovative gameplay idea - please get in touch! This is a game by a Mountainbiker for Mountainbikers!" - Alex Johnson, creator.

The current release features 15 high definition 3D levels set in "B.C. Bikepark", featuring level design, aesthetics and general vibe inspired from one of Canada's most famous bike resorts.

An additional level pack "UK Bike Park" is now well underway. This add-on will feature more exciting downhill action, an all new "Enduro" bike, rider and levels, drive-able off road uplifts, wet, muddy and gnarly UK terrain and some crazy antics thrown in for good measure! This content will hopefully be released on all platforms in January 2015!

Future plans include a release on PC/Mac/Linux and Xbox Arcade featuring vastly superior graphics and game-play due late 2015.

Down hill domination needs to make a comeback because these handheld games are great and all but I miss playing on a big screen!!! Either way I'm gonna continue to buy all the mtb games to come out.

I will defiantly be working on producing a console/PC quality MTB game next year. Looking to distribute on Steam/Windows Store/Xbox Arcade. Still a while off yet but it will happen Smile

Alex "Ernie" Johnson, thanks for listening to the suggestions from the initial release, MUCH better!!! is there a way to POV ride?? I'm more into trying to pretend I'm riding while on the can then doing tricks, but thats just my style. The game is great, thanks for putting this together!!

Hi thanks for the feedback, no sorry not currently. I did experiment with that angle a few times, but it was almost impossible to control!

... Disapointed. I would rather have paid 99 cents for this being a pumped bmx 2 map pack. The physics is weird, the tricks feel glitchy, the bikes front wheel commonly detaches itself from the fork... It just feels bad to play. Game design requires a lot of testing and tweaking that i dont feel was done here.

The android app needs work, very hard to control.. like flappy bird with bikes..

Try experimenting with the tilt sensitivity in the options screen dude. Hopefully you can get a decent setup with that?
  • 1 0
I reduced tilt sensitivity to 1 - to cover unconscious movement .-) Besides I only flip and balance myself with the arrows. Works awesome. Give it a few more tries and you'll easily jumo to manual, make a 5x backflip and land safely and so on....- Love this game!!

  • 2 0
Crash it, for sure. Haha! You can't one up Bender with a video game.
