Video: Sam Pilgrim Gets Trials Lessons From Duncan Shaw on the Streets of London

Nov 22, 2018
by Duncan Shaw

Ever since Sam Pilgrim got his hands on a Street Trials bike last year, I have been meaning to get down to London for a street sessions with him so it was great to meet up with him over the weekend in South London in what turned out to be one of the best sessions of the year.

Couldn t ride past this set up without giving it a go.

Sam going in hard from the start and getting caught out.

Always great to meet subscribers in person.

Getting there in the end.

Sam having a spot of trouble on this wall ride set up.

Totally not my cup of tea. Will never own a Trials bike. But always love to watch the clips of the british city boys. Ali c has a weekly channel as well.

I agree. Beautiful scenery. But trials bikes are bit boring. Prefer to see same tricks on full suspension.

@QuickMish: If you understood the degree of difficulty you might appreciate it more

In trials, Sam Pilgrim is no Danny McK but that means he is only about a million times better than me (or anybody I know) as opposed to Danny McK who is ten million times better than me. I wonder if Sam would trade me some of his talent for one of my teeth. Or maybe two teeth so that he could have a spare. That is about the only way that any part of me could be on a bike doing some of his tricks. An amazingly talented guy.

Watching guys like Duncan and Danny still amazes me, even though I've seen almost all their videos..Poetry on wheels.

@YoungPineapple: Oh please, don't say the e-word. There is already another PB article where people are getting mental. Being part of the Accell group Haibike does offer e-bikes, but not exclusively.
