My fox 36's meant to 180mm. Took a tape measure to it and it is almost 8" is 203mm. Is this normal? Can anyone help me why this may be like this. I have never noticed any change in travel.

When you let the air out there was no "bottom" to bottom out, so the crown stopped the fork instead of the damper. Use a ziptie as a travel gauge and huck to flat, you should see it doesnt go ALL the way to the crown

over time the negative spring can wear out, at least that is what occured in my fox float 36 160mm. I replaced the negative spring and now it sits at no more than ~5mm past 160mm travel with proper air pressure.

It is air. Float RC2. A while ago i let all the air out and i could run it all the way to the bottom but im not sure if it was this long then. I havent managed to bottom them out for quite a while.
