Selected by Matt Wragg - New Zealand is best known as the home of Hobbits, and the lush singletrack seen in Follow Me, Not Bad, and Three Minute Gaps. But there's also a strong dirt jump scene with the Gorge Road jumps, Frew Farm, and Dreamland as sterling examples. This shot works well with simple, clean lines from the bowl and a perfectly cracked table. Even in the midst of an urban environment the backdrop is truly stunning.
Having been lucky enough to travel to both NZ and BC, I really can't decide which is more beautiful. Truly stunning places in this world and those that can call themselves 'locals' in either of them should consider themselves incredibly lucky indeed.
This is a great shot - going huge!
ahhhh... wanaka. probably the most beautiful place ive seen. kayaking on the lake to ruby island, riding the local trails, chilling at Kai Wakka Pai with a beer. bliss!
