Honestly, a rear shock is a rear shock. Long as it's tuned correctly, which mine is, you really cant tell too much difference between them all. It does its job, i'd prefer it over the BOS shock i have in my YT. That could because i haven't taken the time to set up the BOS correctly. That said, i've always had a good experience with the RS and haven't had a problem thus far. Honestly, just match the suspension brand on the Fork and you should be good.
I would love to be able to match the fork and shock in terms of brand, but Manitou doesn't make a decent shock from what I've heard and I'm already set on a Dorado.
