However extremists (note the name) take the torah word for word, and somewhere in there it may say something like "you should kill in the name of your god" which it does in our bible. extremists who see this, act on the literal interpretation of the torah, and follow through. Others dont. So AustinP, its not every arab's purpose in life to kill all those that oppose them. And with Bush under rule, America would certainly gain the title of "bully". Hopefully though, Obama can change that.

How do you know that the disciples of this take all their teachings literally? Even IF its not every Arabs purpose to kill, it still is for a good number of them. Just look at history between the Russians, Muslims, Jews for example and tell me one of them did not need an Army to survive.

 not to be a total nerd here (and you are slightly right) but I doubt that would occur, at least to any noticeable extent. This person has probably neglected to bolt the rather over sized weapon onto the bottom of his miniscule watercraft. In this case, the gun would probably transfer very little of its kinetic energy from the recoil to the boat itself. The gun would instead be sent sailing (pun intended) backwards within the vessel. In the event that this genius has taken the time to fasten his weapon to the boat, it is also doubtful that the boat would move much. This is because water is far denser than air, and the recoil effects that one has come to expect cannot be experienced as they are in air. Imparting an impulse upon the air whilst situated in the water is not a good method of propulsion. That is to say, a minor "backward" motion may be experienced within the boat, but realistically it would be negligible relative to the recoil caused by this situation in a vacuum, and with the boat on rollers not in water. Just sayin'...
