Any particular reason for the the rear shifter on the left? or for the grip shift? It could just be personal preferance, but coming from the guy who cut the lil' fender to swap the shock around, I'm expecting an awesome reason.

I just picked up a set too Mitch, but my frame is looking like an after February arrival and not a few weeks ago like I hoped.

For my style of riding grip shift works awesome. I like it better than using a trigger. Having it mounted reverse helps with Downhill style shifting, rather than just regular shifting. It makes more sense if you have one in front of you.... But its sweet. They're cheap enough to try one out for yourself too...

Yea...why do you like it better over a shifter though?

and grip wise..do you just cut the gripp..then put the lock ring on?

You buy the grips in grip shift length. I like it better because my thumb is always on the bar, giving me more grip....
