No, im the kind of person that respects the legal issues surrounding riding areas, and the fact that if i little shits came and rode my private trails, id be pissed off.

 1 - i'm 6ft, not really that little
2 - we rode about 20 meters just so we can say we've done it
3 - legal issues?? its not like hes gonna get u arrested, all they can do is escort u off the premises
  • 4 1
The trail doesnt comply with FC standards, thats why you arent supposed to ride it, if you did, and say, broke your wrist, the entire thing would be torn down.

stop lookin at all the different rules and go ride
  • 2 1
Its those rules that let you ride, chances are i ride my bike ALOT more than you do, ive also set up my local riding spot legally, so that other riders have somewhere to hit up aswel.

yeah, break your wrist riding a flat 20meters and doin 2 berms... you would have 2 be extremely unlucky to do that

well said bullerboy Beer
  • 1 2
how could u prove u ride ur bike ALOT more than me, im out everyday riding and my riding spot has just been built by me and some people and no1 else i know the rides knows where it is and if we break ourselves then they will get knocked down, but hu cares, we would of had fun riding them and building them
  • 1 3
'Its those rules that let you ride'

right, so without those rules we can't even ride up the street without being told off?
  • 3 0
No, if riding spots dont stick within those rules on FC land, they get torn down, therefore, the rules the FC lay down are the ones that let you have places to ride in FC forests.

yeah, the trail that the atherton track is on is a privatly owned forest that has been opened to the public, not FC land

 well said bullerboy Beer

isn't that what biking is all about, riding for fun? who cares if someone tears your trail down, just build it agen, but this time better Big Grin
  • 4 0
yea its about having fun , but that isnt your trail to ride
  • 1 3
 o well shit happens
  • 9 0
You really are the people this sport doesnt need.
  • 1 2
oh right, we ride 20 meters of a private trail just for fun, do absolutely no damage apart from a few tyre treads, and suddenly we're the people this sport doesn't need??

the way i see it, this sport is all about having fun and if we break the rules along the way, who gives a f*ck?? oh wait, you do. d*ck
  • 7 0
Who gives a f*ck if you break the rules?

What?

You seriously need to get into the real world.
  • 1 3
i believe that i am in the real world, however, i disagree with many rules and i will break them if i want to, you will probably disagree with this as from the sound of your argument you try extremly hard not to break the law, whereas i do not care for the law and if i can break it without being caught i will.

i am a freerider and the one of the dictionary definations of 'free' is this: 'able to do what you want or go where you want to go' so if to listen to that sign would mean i wouldn't truly be a 'free' rider and then i would be one of the people this sport doesn't need. however i chose to ignore that sign and honor the true defination of 'free'rider.
  • 3 0
So risking somebody elses trail, is being a "free" rider and a part of a community.
  • 1 2
how is riding 20meters and being sure not to do any damage 'risking somebody elses trail'???????????
  • 3 1
so what happens if a warden sees you riding down the trail?

Then sees another group of kids like you, riding down it, a week later?

Trail Gone.
  • 1 1
yeah, we did think about that, untill we realised that there was only one entrance as the rest is surrounded by thick trees and steep banks that would be very hard to walk up, it is extemely hard to find and i rode past it 20+ times before being shown where it was so the is little chance of anyone else finding it and riding it, and i have never seen a warden patrolling llandegla.
  • 4 0
you found it , you were shown . well that says that other people are going to find, it all were trying to say is keep off private tracks they built it you didnt so you have no right to ride it . this breaking the rules thing is stupid , and i think you'll find freeridng isnt riding private trials that your not supposed to ride. im sure you'd change your arguement very quickly if one of the athertons caught you or one of the rangers. theres wardens in every forestry commission area you may not see them but they are there.
  • 1 3
as I previously said, the forest is not owned by forestry commission, it is owned by tillhill, a logging company that have grown the forest and are in the proccess of cutting down parts of it. they built a mountain biking trail there, probably to earn a bit more money. none of the athertons will catch us riding the trail as we will never ride it again, as i think i have previously said, we rode it once (and only 20 meters of it) just so we could say we had. as for other people finding it, it is about 100meters off the family biking trail/walking trail so i seriously doubt anyone will find it without being shown, and if they do, chances are, if theyre riding the family trail or walking, they wont want to ride it.

feel free to admit i'm right anytime
  • 5 0
that makes it worse if the forest is privatly owned btw .
  • 1 3
ok, i may have chosen the wrong words there, it isn't owned by forestry commission, it is owned by another company who have made trails for biking and walking so there will be no FC wardens anywhere there
  • 5 0
all trail centres in wales are FC.
  • 1 1
 http://www.coedllandegla.com/
here is the site, it is not owned by FC, it is owned by tilhill.
  • 3 0
even worse, they are even more at risk to legal action, and therefore would be even quicker to close down risks.
  • 1 3
except, they dont know and never will
  • 3 0
 Your seriously missing the point.
  • 1 2
what point?? you asked what we think gave us the right to ride this trail and we basically said nothing gave us the right, we just did, and now your going on about all this legal shit, and to two guys who have probably broken much worse laws than simply riding a private trail
  • 1 3
this argument still makes me laugh, people can be such dicks, laws a made to be broken Big Grin
  • 4 0
the only dick in this was you. its people like you that get other peoples hard work trashed . what do you care though it wasnt you who put all that hard work into building it ehh
  • 1 3
yes, its going to be trashed because we rode 20 meters, and i know what it's like to have your hard work trashed, people regularly trash the spot where me and my friends are building, but i enjoy re-building it, it gives me the chance to make modifications i would otherwise be too lazy to make
  • 5 8
its fukin nearly vertical with sharp corners all the way down!!! lets do it!!!!
  • 0 3
so have i. and josh has and he doesnt even care bout biking! hahahahahaha
