looks good, much better than the equalizer!

wait isnt the equalizer a pull shock? how did u get a dhx air on it?
  • 2 0
Sooooooo many people asked this... It's just a high pressure low stroke silly push shock.
  • 1 0
 Me Like :p

would be nice to know how it rides, tempted to do the same with mine

Oh, btw you've got an extra 12mm of tavel. was orginally 165mm
  • 1 0
It's alot nicer! but it depends if your a big guy or not as I weigh 8.5st and have to put 180psi in the shock when it maxes out at 200 =/
  • 1 0
dont think i can actually remember when i weighed that much :o, im 10.4st.

that seems a rather alot of pressure for your weight?
  • 1 0
Yeah its the way the ransom frame is designed, thats why it has an equalizer shock because it needs to be controlled at 300+psi so putting a dhx 5 in it is risky if you weigh over 10st I would say

well that makes sense, shame you live in scotland, would have been cool to have a spin on it see how it rides with the Fox Shox

Niice they ride so well, the equalizer was an awesome shock just my issues that would have been under warranty had I not bought it second hand, theres a 2yr warranty

Very nice, I've never been a fan of Scott bikes, but this is definitely and exception. You should take thos red stickers off though IMO Razz
  • 1 0
Blank Stare then what do I do with the red hubs, brake bits and crimp?:P
  • 1 0
Oh yeah, I didn't see those red parts, the stickers can stay Razz a red seat clamp would top it off nicely.
  • 1 0
 Maybe a blue clamp:P
  • 1 0
if you had started off with all blue it would look amazing if you took the red off, or replaced them with custom blue ones.

Ah sweet,i figured about the pressure :\ have you taken it on the trails yet?

is the back end higher now?
  • 2 0
It's too big haha, the bike is now at the correct geo too
  • 1 0
That is haawt! Are they the Atlas bars? They look purdy
  • 1 0
 indeed they arrrrre
  • 1 0
Is the 1 brake a permanent setup? Wink
  • 1 0
 yes
  • 1 0
Sorry mate (just seen your riding pics).
Does it affect your riding much?
  • 1 0
It's a bit annoying, sometimes I get really bad arm pump and can't go as fast as I want to and only having one brake means i can't ride the steeper trails but I get by and the wider bars are helping with the wrist pump
  • 1 0
If you dont mind me asking; how did it happen?
Bet you go through rear tyres like anything too! Your bar extension is pretty sick...
  • 1 0
T'was the way I was born lol, I don't skidWink My previous rear tyre lasted a year and a half and that bar thing failedlol
  • 1 0
 Just the way things were...
What? The bar thing looked epic fun! Did it snap?
  • 1 0
haha it was well fun with the rise but as soon as I cranked it or hit a jump the bike would go into auto manual mode or the bars would be out of control and I would be x-up landing:P
  • 1 0
 Not ideal!
How do you fund all these sick parts? lol
  • 1 0
Had a well paying but short paper round then a job:P
  • 1 0
Job doing what? (I need money!)
  • 1 0
Just a job, any job lol, I work in a garden centre, it sucks but it pays
  • 1 0
Aaaaahhh nice Big Grin how does it ride with that shock?
  • 1 0
Very very well, much better than my broken equalizer:P It just needs to be pumped up at worryingly high pressures =/
  • 1 0
is that a blue nine speed chain?
  • 1 0
 It is.
  • 1 0
