Gotta love bikers and their sarcasm. Badass

For those of you who don't know, "Ape hangers", or high bars on motorcycles are/were illegal, and for years we couldn't run them higher than our shoulders, and then it went to three inches above shoulder height, and now it's between shoulder height and 4 inches above for most states, so this guy is being a sarcastic a*shole towards cops...And it's damn funny.

anything can cause an accident except more attentive drivers. if you can have christmas lights in your car you and bull horns on your hood let the guy have his ape hanger bars, if he didn't get in shit for them he would probably take em off sooner, holding out to prove a point.

To tell the truth, it's probably the safest thing he could do. Cars NEVER seen motorcyclist, anyone who rides can tell you that. Having high bars probably triples your chance of being noticed, because it looks so silly. So if anything, he's helping. And it's not that hard to steer with your bars like that. He's obviously an expierenced rider, that bike isn't stock...
