Full Frame 3D From 3Ality
Matthew Gorveatte Another very nive set up, you will see this set up at sporting event. there is a new 3d tv channel coming out. Matthew Gorveatte
yup. this is one way of doing it. notice the electronically controlled wheels on the Focus, F-Stop and Zoom functions of the lens, this is one hard thing to make work right, it is all plugged into the black base that is a big duel computer controller, a system like this would be shooting to a single image. not separate, but it would save the separate video feeds anyway. See the 3 silver plug-ins on the base. Those are gen lock hook ups, they made into the plug-ins for the 3D controllers. They don't have the cables plugged in for some reason I don't know why maybe someone just snapped this pic as they where walking by not a promo pic. I don't know tho. another cool part is the tripod heads they use for these cameras, the rigs are so big and heavy that they need heads that where first made for huge guns.
I am one of those people......... Just playin dude, If i had this stuff I wouldn't even know what to do with it. I only no how to operate a DSLR and a handycam with a fisheye conversion lens
Your looking at $40,000 to get a basic functioning RED camera, now theres that 2 fold as you need 2 cameras, plus at least an extra $15,000 for the 3D processor and tripod head etc.
Does having the 2 RED cameras mean you can acheive an 8k resolution if you interpolate?
OR... You could get one of these bad boys from the P2 family in an all-in-one 3D package without any crazy extra equipment. I wouldn't shoot Avatar with this, but I'd love to see some 3D music videos and stuff on MTV or whatever.
