Dober-update. Not much else that needs to be done. Have to wait til my new pin comes for my chain breaker to really dial in the chain length. New 22t sprocket, painted fork, and new rear wheel.
gotta love it she looks meaner than ever here. but one question how do people get there seats as low as that? is that something to do with either frame design or the pivotal seat and post combination? (ok that was clearly 3 questions but whatever lol)
Thanks man. All of those play in key factors. If your seat tube doesn't go very low, it won't matter even if you slam a pivotal. But with that said pivotal's can be slammed waaayy more than railed seats, just think about it, pivotal sits flush with the frame, rails have well rails in the way so them sitting flush is mostly impossible. Hope my explanation helped and thanks for the compliments
i have a static plan b which hasn't really got a low seat tube i wish it had one like the ns suburban which would make it look more clean and minimal but im not getting an hacksaw out to do that lol pivotal seats just look so much better than railed seats and make the bike look alot cleaner i just like that "seat nearly touching the tyre" look but thats where chainstay length comes into it i think.
thanks (even though that made me look kinda stupid lmao) and you're welcome.
thanks man! i'll do that as soon as ive finished with my azonic (im in the middle of building her) but also gotta get rid of that ugly front mechanical brake on my static and put a hydraulic brake on the back i wouldn't mind putting both lx brakes on but who uses front brakes apart from those who want to do front wheel tricks i only have that brake on so i can try and learn to ride fakie after pulling the front brake and for safety purposes haha
Ah yes, the eteranal curse of owning an 09 Dob. I am buying a new tire soon that promises more slammability and I may even be the first to slam a 26" wheel on a Dob.
Eh not that much as this tire clears the sides just fine (especially because I cut the side knobs off) But the tire I'm getting won't be as "tall" as this one, if that makes any sense.
